I never really listen to DPT i don't know why just when they first started i just couldn't get into their music like deadwood or BBYD i just kinda went more with shambles but listening to that radio thing Blood Thirst Bastards is a really good song.

awww... I'm er... as much as I love DPT more of a Shambles person as well. I actually had a rather long discussion with a friend about it last week, or about music that changes life but anyway. And it's just that Babyshambles and The Libertines has had such a huge effect on my life and changed the way I view and feel about certain things. DPT hasn't really done that for me yet, still love 'em to bits though...

 

And BTB is fucking amazing! :nice:

The Libertines changed everythin about me im totally different like i used to care what everyone thought of me and i wouldnt go out of the house without makeup on but now im jus like fuck it if you don't like what you see then get lost basically if it wasnt for the libertines id probably listenin to things like eminem whch im so ashamed of:embarassed: . And i used to hang around with some right idiots so i when i got into the libertines then i changed my friends and my personality changed and now im happier and i think im a nicer person.

I love how it's sort of a balance of Shambles and DPT news and fans, and we don't fight! :laugh4: I mean I really am both, but I will admit I lean more towards DPT... Carl's lyrics just.... Glad to hear it, dude :nice: And amen. I was depressed for a couple of years, like deeply depressed... it's not something I like to talk about anymore. I didn't like the person that I was. I was listening to certain music that I identify with that time period now.... I just had to stop, to get healthy. I found Arctic Monkeys album, uploaded that and really fell in love with the whole... I'm not sure. But I kept reading the name of the Libertines, and obviously I knew Pete Doherty like anyone else does :rolleyes: So I just decided to give them a listen, what the hell. I fell completely in love with them, immediately. They've really defined one of the best few months of my life, I've changed so much in a really great way.

 

They just make me feel good about myself now, they've led to other bands and I couldn't imagine being the same person I was at the begining of last year, or 2 years ago. I'm just happy now. It's why I'm so defensive of Peter, and the Libertines, because people never respect that. I can't stand that. Dislike the music, but dislike it BECAUSE of the music.

 

Ugh, I don't know. But yeah. The Libertines will always be the best, always be the new number 1 in my book...

then a long break. i dont actually think they were going to come back on but no one was leaving even after the lights came on and everyone wouldnt stop cheering, after about 10 mins they finally came back.

probably the best performance ive seen from pete. he had the whole audience in stiches on quite a few occasions, being a real gent. he was also outside the back of the venue straight away taking pictures with fans and signing autographs for 5/10 mins until the security had enough and ordered him back inside.

gotta mention the holloways for a good performance too.
