Okay, I don't live in London but we basically get the London wheater 3 days after it's been there so yeah... It can be like summer but also pretty much like winter minus the snow.

Body: we're playing the culture show today. i just got back from newcastle, first show down. insomniastic so couple of new tunes just posted on helsinki mrk 2(they only let you have 4 tunes on a page, cheers rupert). click on drew helsinki2 in my friends bit to hear. there's a skiffle version(radio1 belfast) of i wish too, you can hear us eating crisps as mik does his doncaster selecta toasting. yes we're a shower of daft bastards.

Newcastle was great, the main set had a bit of a workmanlike quality to it, but the freeform bits came later on.

Peter came onstage in a straw hat with a big hole in the top, and proceeded to use it to not-catch everything thrown at him onstage.

He thanked judge McIvor for her continuing assistance in his career, and also remarked how it was their first gig in England for a while (rather puzzling given they'd played Fabric a few days ago!) They did Unstookie (which seemed to have less lyrics live) and Cuckoo and also one other new one which I've never heard before. Had something about ships and shores in it if I'm not mistaken. Played about half of I Wanna Be Adored (not entirely convincingly, but was a good singalong) and also George Michael's Faith popped up in Horrorshow.

What Katie Did had the "goodbyes" changed to "Since you said way-ay" inna Hexham twang :cheese: Fantastic version of Fuckforever with Peter really getting into it, and Cant Stand Me Now was immense, ending with Pete chucking his guitar into the audience as a show-stopper. About 5 mins later a roadie came onstage and asked "could whoever's got Pete's guitar please return it" tho I think he may have been shutting the stable door after the horse had bolted.

They have two big buses so are obviously planning on staying on the road til the shows are all done. Fingers crossed for everywhere else.
