hahaha, yeaaaaap I went alone basically, my mom drove me up. She had a ticket that she used, but she left halfway through the first band (before Scissors For Lefty). I don't usually have people to go with, just rely on meeting people there and making friends in line, which I definately did. Including a girl who goes to the school I just got accepted to. Fun times.

 

Going to gigs alone is alright, I find. I mean you don't have anyone to impress around you and all that.... ;)

well, Babyshambles theoretically did a gig last December here in Barcelona, but in the end they didn't come. :bigcry: but before knowing whether I would go or not I was wondering all the time if I had to go or not, I even slept about them at night. I really wanted to see them live, but what stopped me was the fact that I didn't know anyone to go with and the district where they played wasn't one of the most secures...I confess, I had fear. :shy: On the one hand I was looking forward to seeing them, although on the other one my own fears didn't let me fulfil my wish.

(Most of my friends don't like this kind of music, and the few ones who do, wouldn't go to one of their gigs.) :embarassed:

I went to go and see babyshambles with some of my friends about all of my friends love peter so thats cool why are you planning on going to see dpt or shambles

In fact I was planning to see Babyshambles live but they didn't come, so... at the end they took the decision for me. (I mean I didn't have any option 'cos they didn't come here to do the gig).

I realised when I came to England that they're quite well-known over there, but not the same happen in the other countries.

My mom's cool, I mean I love her a lot and she's not embaressing at all. Although she sort of was when she started nagging me about if I wanted Didz or Stan's autographs. I was like "shhhhh! shhhhhh! just let them smoke! shhhh!" LMFAO She always goes to gigs with me, since she won't let me drive places in Boston alone (er, I'd probably get lost, pop a tire then get killed....) soooo, yeah. She didn't stay with me the whole time at all, mostly just dropped me off then went to get food while I sat at the bar drinking a coke and making the eyes at a guitarist in the opening band that SUCKED. oops.

 

But yeah. Long winded answer, but nah it wasn't too awkward! ;)

yeah, I'm sure about that. I'd feel very proud of mine if she'd come with me to one of their gigs and would understand how important they are for me :wink:, but it's just the fact of going alone which I don't like it at all although if you do it, then you have more chances to meet new ppl.

Yeah, plus none of my friends like any of my music at all, so.... I guess I could try and ask someone if they'd just go with me for the hell of it, but I doubt they would. And most of them around here are 18+ too... eh, so all in all not much option for me! :laugh4:

 

 

as long as the music is good, and it's in an ok area, I think going to gigs alone is actually kind of fun!

That's so true. About the first alone-gig is the hardest but now that's what I enjoy the most cause hardly any of my friends wanna be at the front so I always have to go back and check on them halfway through and then try to get in again which never works. So yeah, going alone is so much better! And noone gets annoyed by you singing :laugh3:

True , i mean its awfull going to a gig with friends that dosent even like the music ... must of my friends are into chessy crapy music , and the two that kind of know something bout good music , one got into EMO and the otherone is into almust emo bands :lol: soo im on my own now :laugh4:

Sadly, but the hope is the last thing in life you can lose! Anyway, I don't think he wears too many clothes. I reckon we're quite lucky! There're several singers who surely you haven't seen half-naked... but we all have had the good luck to see Carl!! ;)

 

Yeah, exactly, there is also that problem. Once you find someone to go with, then he/she doesn't want to wait so much time, or doesn't want to be at the first rows but hey, next time I suppose I'll go without so many fears.
