Ok, so you have turned me into a sort of fan of these guys. First you posted hot pics of them, and then thanks to therese<3, I am now addicted to their stories(Coltish is aweosme!! I can't wait for the next chapter. I love didz and anthony!) Now to compleate the circle of obssesion(:lol:) I need to get into their music. I think I started in the wrong order but whatever!lol.

So I figured, new year new music so I need your help because I have no idea where to start, or with which band.hehe. Could you guys tell me what to listen to first, something fit for a first timer.:nice:

Have you ever listened to Babyshambles, The Libs or DPT properly? If not, I'd advice to you to listen to The Libs first of all ( songs like Music when the Lights go out, Last post on the bugle, Narcissist, The Good old times could be a good way to know how their music sounds).

I'd say listen to the selftitled Libertines album first (can upload it for you if you want) and some b-sides (which I have uploaded and linked in my sig) like Don't look back into the sun, You're my Waterloo, Breck road lover, Half cocked boy etc. cause that is not quite as messy and unpolished as the others. But if you're used to a bit more messy sound you can start with the first album, Up the bracket, cause that's just amazing but more messy. Yeti is pretty easy to get into, has a sort of Beatles-vibe to it and DPT sounds pretty similar to The Libertines but the Shambles, they're amazing! But yeah, listen to the libs first cause they give you a kinda of how the other bands sound :smiley:

 

Oh, and if you just wanna hear some songs I say: The good old days, Breack road lover, France, Can't stand me now, Music when the lights go out, Don't look back into the sun, Death on the stairs are good starters :nice:

I actually..erm... didn't like Stan that much at all before I got into DPT cause you know, I'm a Peter-girl and he was Peter's replacement sort of and no, I never thought anyone would do a Libs-fic with the pair of them. But it's perfect, just you wait and see ;)
