It's not surprising that to many in America, outside of informed scenesters or subscribers to the NME, only know Pete Doherty as the "junkie" boyfriend of Kate Moss. The fucked up Brit rocker. His legacy with the Libertines still looms largely in his life, yet few know of his endeavors through the band Babyshambles. With one album, a scattered history of touring and countless tabloid battles behind them, Babyshambles take on 2007 with a vigor; planning to release their second album and tour behind it throughout the year. To get to the people behind the music, who are more than just tabloid fodder, would be highly interesting both to myself as an interviewer, as well as the public.
