Well, I'm currently taking a journalism class in my high school.... but we haven't done any interviews, or really done much of anything :laugh4: So yeah.... technically I haven't studied it or taken any real classes on the subject. It's what I'm going to do in college, though, or at least writing is. I dunno... just comes kind of naturally to me, part of the reason I want to do it.

It's hard to get anywhere in this day and age without escaping this fascination with the often negative sides of "celebrities." It's not surprising that to many in America, outside of informed scenesters or subscribers to the NME, only know Pete Doherty as the "junkie" boyfriend of Kate Moss. The fucked up Brit rocker. His legacy with the Libertines still looms largely in his life, yet few know of his endeavors through the band Babyshambles. With one album, a scattered history of touring and countless tabloid battles behind them, Babyshambles take on 2007 with a vigor; planning to release their second album and tour behind it throughout the year. To get to the people behind the music, who are more than just tabloid fodder, would be highly interesting both to myself as an interviewer, as well as the public.

 

QUESTIONS:

 

1. There have been many changes to the line-up of Babyshambles in the past, how does the band compare now to what it was one, or two, years ago?

 

2. In the song 'Sticks and Stones' off of your first album, Peter, you sing "Don't look back into the motherfucking sun". What instigated that reaction from you? Is it a look back at the Libertines?

 

3. Peter, what do you feel was your greatest moment in the Libertines?

 

4. Adam, you came into the band after replacing original drummer Gemma Whatshername in 2005. Did you know Peter, or anyone associated to the band, personally before? How did you feel coming into a band that was already formed and had a few gigs under their belt?

Well, that was the joke. Peter was saying we should all sing for Kate because it was her birthday and she’d turn 37 at midnight.
