*yay!* that's awsome :)

Nope, that isn't Purple. Purple's the shaved black guy.. Think that's one of the guys that plays in the General's band or something :\

Yeah I guess you're right, 'cos he just played the tambourine or something when the General's lot were on stage. He seemed like an absolute prick, strutting through Proud in this big white leather coat looking like he wanted all attention on him.

Ohgod... lmfao lmfao I just feel so.. I dunno. It's just pathetic!

Straight no pun intended from the DPT-lj:

Hi guys, thanks to everyone who came out and supported Crisis last week. If you were there, you know it was an awesome show with lots of really good bands and djs for a great cause. I still can't believe I got lost trying to find the band storage unit the week before, though. I guess when I moved to London I thought it wouldn't be any harder to get around than Boston, where the streets all follow three hundred year old cow tracks, or something. I was so wrong. Anyway, Carl says thanks too, and he says he wishes he had a quid for every time someone said something about his new haircut, because he'd give it all to Crisis. So if you said something about Carl's hair, why not donate a pound (or more) to Crisis? There's a lot of people out there who could use your help.

Love,

Anthony

That did make me smile a bit :nice: *yeah, I am aware it's all fake.. but still, cute*

I know :\ It just...makes me kinda sad.

These people that just seem to be feeding off Peter. Like vultures. :(

Yanno...i'm not even gonna go there. I'm in a good mood tonight, I don't want to get down again!

:laugh3: !!! Ok so whoever writes those fake things is either on LJ or on the forum, 'cos they read my post! I wonder who it is...

lmao lmao I'm gonna guess one of the less-scary fans! Like myska_x or something. Could be wrong but I doubt the scary-ones would do that. They're to concerned with protecting Carl's mom's myspace-picture's or something... Oh, did I just say that?! :uhoh: lmfao lmfao

It is!!!

And so is that thing about them commenting on her picture's like they're her friends or something. It's bloody ridicolous! His mom is cool and all but wtf! I doubt that she talks to him about his fans being 'oh so nice!' when they comment her pictures and how good friends they are. I doubt she considers them her friends. If I were her, I'd find that kinda pathetic to be honest. Just like it is with the whole: I liked the Libertines at the start therefor I'm a better fan than you. Fuck that! / :uhoh: end rant.

Ah Tea, the voice of reason among the madness! :smug:

It's so so true.

They're so fucking lame aren't they. I mean yeah, like you said, she's really cool and everything and it's nice that she interacts with the fans etc, but they really do take it too far thinking she's actually their friend.

And as for the Libertines...I was having a thought today while on the train home...

I rekon that the Libertines will live on forever in spirit, kinda like bands such as The Beatles.

For example, The Beatles ended a long long time ago now, but there are still kids discovering their music, really appreciating it and it's impact on modern music, and walking around wearing their t-shirts even today. It's amazing.

I rekon there will always be new Libs fans emerging for years&years to come, because just like The Beatles, they're a huge part of British music history, and all music history, infact.

Plus there's that whole kind of 'story' to them, the beauty, the pain, the destruction. It's fascinating, albeit sad, to hear about and makes you understand the music and lyrics even more.

Ok i'm rambling :uhoh: I hope that made sense?

So yeah..... Libertines for life eh :nice:

You know what? That might be the best post I've ever seen and I'm actually wiping away tears cause it's just so true...

*hugs back*

How sad are we? *loves it*

And on a totally random note: my teacher actually told my I should write my last essay/presentation in my Modern art-course about The Libertines. It made me really, really happy

Awww wow!!! :stunned: That will be the best presentation ever!!! :cheesy:

And it's always so much better doing essays/presentations on a subject that you really love, it makes it easier to think of things to write because you feel so passionate about it. :nice:

And yes....we are quite sad :laugh4: But fuck it, it's great :D

I know! It's gonna be the best thing ever and it's actually gonna be fun to do! Although I think it will end with me rambling on for about an hour (more even) which might not be good but fuck it! I wanna mention it all, the history and gigs in flats and how they got discovered and the fall and why I love them and why EVERYONE should listen to it cause I say so! :laugh3: And that Peter isn't a junkie but a genious and that John and Gary was in the band and how many different styles they've got and.. yeah. It will be a shambolic ramble. But I'll enjoy it

*love modern art*

Seriously, it should be mandatory for everyone in the world to go that course cause it's amzing!!!

D'ya know what?

That SERIOUSLY sounds like the best presentation//ramble EVER. :wideeyed:

Dude, you're gonna get a goooood grade :D

I hooooooooooooope so!

Dude, which song should I play?! Now, that is the big quesion.... :wideeyed:

Wow. That's a tricky one.

So, do you wan't something that really sums up the Libertines?

Maybe The Good Old Days? :) Hmmm or Death on the Stairs  .....or CSMN! Time For Heroes! Vertigo! :laugh4:

Nope. I would not be able to decide :laugh4:

Well, I want something that show all sides of them I guess... The chaos, the poetry, the fighting, the drugs, the britishness. Just the spirit I guess... Up the bracket maybe? Although that might scare the hell outta them :laugh3: But 'Time for heroes' is pretty good summing it all up I guess... *wants to play everything*

http://community.livejournal.com/didz_daily/ *freaks out* HOW CUTE IS DIDZ! AND YOUNG AND OOOOOH MY GOD!

I've missed 12 pages :stunned: *goes to catch up*(I really hate it that I have to be catching up :( lately. Life=sucks :bigcry:)

Aww..that is why I choose to have no life. To lazy to catch up :laugh3:

I don't think you've missed much though? Did you see the Clash-article thing Rachel posted? And Steph's review made it onto the Shambles blog! Oh, and part 2 of 'Bangkok' is up!

Hello girls !! sorry i havent been around

hope you are all great

so any big news i've missed ?

Don't think you've missed anything, Juli! Nothing big, that is... ;)

Boston, where the streets all follow three hundred year old cow tracks, or something.

LMFAO. THAT IS SO TRUE. Whoever wrote this is so dead on ahahaha. Jesus christ, screw Boston roadways. They suck!

Boooo to my mom, she said we couldn't go to the mall that has the record store in it today because "too out of the way, too expensive, too tired, too blah blah blah!"

Does she gets she's killing me? I doubt it.

Anyways  :laugh4:

Baby Didz is officially the cutest thing I have ever EVER seen. He looks so much like someone I know.... huh..... oh wow. *wants to hug and fuck him at the same time*

Gone too far? Perhaps! :laugh4:

I hate when people think that myspace is the equivalent to something.... deeper. I think that in certain respects yes, it can be. I have no qualms about people forging relationships online, I mean, we seem to do it eh! ;) But for people to think that someone who has I dunno, a few hundred "fans" and is the mother of someone famous, to think they're actually knowing who you are? Impossible. I don't think that Bryan Garza from S4L is my friend just because he's replied back to me 4 times! :laugh4: :uhoh: *coughs* Or Harmony! Telling me to send naked pictures of myself with my camera to him does NOT equal friendship. Or....... well... nvm.

Still.

And Steph, what you wrote made me tear up too omg... :nice: I think they will live on, yes. *sighs* Too bad people don't realize that.

Ah yeah, and here's the image from the background of that Didz comm, I actually hadn't seen it before?

sweatyfuck.jpg

And now I'm off again to buy my friend dinner cuz she just got accepted to her college, whoot!

Aww thanks Tea, glad I didnt miss that much! So glad Steph about the review making into the blog, I saw it and its fantastic! Thanks for the article too, Rachel!

Tea, I dont choose life, it chooses me! :bigcry::bigcry: Why cant I go back to the bum days? :( :laugh4:

I know! It's gonna be the best thing ever and it's actually gonna be fun to do! Although I think it will end with me rambling on for about an hour (more even) which might not be good but fuck it! Tea Wow, I wish I would get projects like that, its so awsome! Rambling on about the Libs and playing their music. Gah, I would even pay for it :stunned:
