AMSTERDAM - De twee concerten die de Britse zanger Pete Doherty en zijn band Babyshambles deze week in Nederland geven, gaan gewoon door. Platenmaatschappij EMI maakte eerder bekend dat de optredens in Nederland geen doorgang konden vinden. Dit werd dinsdagmiddag tegengesproken door de organisator van de Babyshambles-concerten in Nederland.

 

"In Engeland zijn de optredens vorige week niet doorgegaan, maar het bezoek aan Nederland komt niet in gevaar”, aldus de zegsman.

 

 

De Babyshambles treden vrijdag op in Eindhoven en reizen zondag af naar Haarlem. Eerder dit jaar trad de band op in Paradiso.

The two concerts British singer Pete Doherty and his band Babyshambles will do this week, will go on. Earlier today record company EMI said the concerts in the Netherlands would not go on. This was denied Tuesday afternoon by the organiser of the Babyshambles concerts in the Netherlands.

 

"In England the shows didn’t go on last week, but the visit to the Netherlands won’t come into danger”, according to the spokesperson.

 

Babyshambles will perform in Eindhoven on Friday and in Haarlem on Sunday. Earlier this year, the band performed at Paradiso (in Amsterdam).
