Paltrow feels cursed by cancer

 

 

Gwyneth Paltrow said she felt her family was cursed by cancer after the disease killed her father, aunt, a 23-year-old cousin and her grandmothers.

 

The Oscar winner, who has two children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, admitted she now felt at risk from the disease herself.

 

She said she and her children led vegetarian lifestyles in an effort to keep the disease at bay.

 

Her revelations came in a press interview for an anti-cancer campaign backed by Damiani, the jeweller she models for.

 

The London-based star of Shakespeare In Love and Sliding Doors said: 'Cancer has been the curse of my family. I am challenging these evil genes by natural means. I am convinced that by eating biological foods it is possible to avoid the growth of tumours.'

 

Paltrow was on holiday in Italy when her film director father, Bruce, died from the illness.

 

The 34-year-old added: 'I began this crusade soon after my father's death. Since then the fight against tumours has been my mission.'

 

She added that she has put her career on hold to have children but now wanted to get back into films.

 

'I will ask my friends Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet for advice,' she said.

 

'They have both been able to combine the job of a mother with that of an actress.'

Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has topped a poll of natural beauties.

 

The 25-year-old's English rose looks and understated fashion sense earned her first place.

 

But Prince Harry's glamorous other half Chelsy Davy did not feature in the top 10 at all.

 

The survey asked 1,000 people to rate the most naturally attractive celebrities.

 

Charlotte Church came second. The former Voice of an Angel has refused to diet herself down and is happy with her curves.

 

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer was third.

 

She was followed by Kate Moss, still a beauty despite her party-loving lifestyle.

 

Catherine Zeta Jones was fifth, followed by Keira Knightley.

 

Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce came next.

 

And Victoria Beckham made a surprise entry at number 10.

 

The research was commissioned by Fox's biscuits to promote its new Naturally Fox's range.

 

The majority of men surveyed said they preferred women to go natural rather than adopt the plastic Hollywood look.

 

Jordan topped their list of the least natural celebrities.

 

The surgically-enhanced glamour girl was followed by Abi Titmuss, Paris Hilton, Jade Goody and Jodie Marsh.

 

Francesca Davies, Fox's innovations manager, said: "These findings finally dispel the myth that all men are attracted to plastically enhanced women, which is a great relief for all the 'natural' women out there!

 

"Kate Middleton is a true natural beauty whether in designer or high street wear."

I feel awful that everybody in her family has been taken from her due to cancer, I can't imagine what she has been through.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Buenos Aires with Apple and Moses

 

We hear that Gwyneth Paltrow has arrived in Buenos Aires with her two children, Apple, 2 1/2 and Moses, 10 months.

 

Coldplay was in Chile for concerts for the past couple of days. Gwyneth is married to lead singer, Chris Martin.
