Excerpts from "Queen B's" interview with Vogue:

Beyoncé’s close friend Gwyneth Paltrow relates a story of going to visit her in the recording studio and encountering mother with daughter.

 

“Blue was sleeping in her arms, across her body, and B was listening back to what she had been working on,” Paltrow says. “I thought, This is how you do it. You do what you love with who you love included.”

 

There’s one change in the musical life of Beyoncé, Paltrow notes. When Blue’s in the studio, they turn down the volume.

 

“When she is working onstage, she has more power than any woman I’ve ever seen,” says Paltrow. “She would never say it and has never said it, but I feel she knows with every fiber of her being that she is the best in the world at her job.”

It's hard to imagine what life is like in the Paltrow-Martin household, but it must be working since Hollywood's most secretive couple has been together for nearly 11 years!

 

For over a decade, Gwyn and Chris have been so proactively antipress that it's come to, in a way, define their public image. Of the nearly 3,500 Gwyneth Paltrow images we have in our extensive photo library, Chris Martin appears in exactly zero.

 

That's why it was such a big deal last summer to see the couple pull back the curtain ever so slightly when they shared a surprise romantic moment at a Coldplay concert. The two broke their long-standing no-PDA policy after Chris dedicated "Yellow" to his wife and ran through the crowd, found Gwyn and kissed her in front of a packed house. (By the way, that concert was part of Coldplay's very popular 2012 tour, which was the year's fourth most popular, so, yeah, Coldplay is still going very strong.)

 

Add to that the New Year's Eve Coldplay/Jay-Z concert where Gwyn danced with Chris and their kids, Apple and Moses, and maybe it's not crazy to think these two will walk down a red carpet together someday. Just don't hold your breath.

Beyonce has sung the praises of her BFF Gwyneth Paltrow, saying that the celeb mum has given her a lot of tips on how to protect her baby Blue Ivy from the public gaze.

Gwyn has her own brood with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Moses and Apple, and it seems that she was able to give Bey a hand when it came to dealing with the scrutiny on baby Blue.

When asked at the premiere of her HBO documentary about how Gwyn had helped by E! News, the bootylicious singer said: "She is incredible,;she's a great friend on every level," she then went on to add how important that side of their relationship was to her.

"I think for us, protecting our daughters is so important and…keeping things on our own terms, so I will still be protective and make sure [blue Ivy] has a childhood and a great time," Beyonce said.

 

 

However Beyonce also admitted that there will come a time when she can't control everything any more, but will draw inspiration from her own mum when the time comes.

 

 

Beyonce said: "At some point, you know it is what it is, you can't control it anymore," adding: "But I know as long as I'm the mother that I know I can be and the mother I have—such an incredible mother—my daughter's going to be fine."
