What If Single ?????

She may remove it because a million a person were going to ask her about The new baby born Moses...

Ick. What If? would only give the Coldplay haters more fuel.

One of the three weakest songs on X&Y. There are so many better choices.

I totaly agree.. and understand her

What if would not be a good choice. It's a good song, but only for the really devoted coldplay fans.

Most likely untrue. Personally i wouldn't think they'll release another single from X&Y.

However i was reading an old nme from last year (before the album release) and they claimed What if would be a future single. They were probably wrong though.

they can't end on the hardest part :bigcry:

Ahh, no What If....it's not that good really. I think long, long time fans would rather see something else.

White Shadows :)

It just sounded like they wanted to release The Hardest Part as a single and maybe What If in just a couple of selected countries. Too bad it's not true because I personally think it's one of the best songs they've ever done. I'm sure they were planning on releasing it as a single (when the album came out) because they recorded it at TOTP for example along with Speed of Sound.

To me, it seems like people either hate or love that song. I've been in love with it ever since I heard the recording of it at the Universal Amphitheatre in LA about a year ago. However, I think the album version is not nearly as good as any live version, so I think the guys would have had to spice up the studio recording a little bit. Maybe more people would have like it then. I just think the lyrics are great and IMO it's just a "classic" Coldplay song, like The Scientist or Trouble.

So I'm not all that sure if only the most devoted Coldplay fans would like it if it was released as a single... I remember reading that it was in some top 20 (or even 10?) of the best songs of 2005 - no other song off X&Y made it on that list. Unfortunately, I can't remember who was in charge of that list, but I read it in the news section of this site ;)

What If is a radio-single in France as The Hardest Part in UK... according to Debs :uneasy:

That's cool :nice: I love hearing it everyday !
