Okay , this thread is seriously old but I think it's worth ressurecting for a while. So here are ten of the best voices in music IMO. Not necessarily THE best, but ones I never tire of hearing:

1. Beth Gibbons (Portishead)

2. Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins)

3. Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star)

4. Matt Bellamy (Muse)

5. Thom Yorke (Radiohead)

6. Gary Briggs (Haven)

7. Tom Chaplin (Keane)

8. Bjork

very nice

Damon Albarn, really? ha

Liam Gallagher, signature voice

Ian Brown- signature voice

both classics.

If the world were to come to a near end tomorrow, and I just had a choice of picking a few musicians voices to listen to for the rest of my existance, they would be:

Bono

Chris Martin

John Lennon

George Harrison

And yes, Bob Dylan

-Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode)

-Chris Cornell (Audioslave/Soundgarden)

-Matt Bellamy (Muse)

-Paul Banks (Interpol)

-Martin L. Gore (Depeche Mode. He may not be the main singer, but DAMN can he sing!)

Tom Chaplin

yup, agree with you. he's one of the great singers in this world :D

Gotta love singers that show emotion.

^ i agree with Tom,he has a beatiful voice(in singing he's better than Tim  )

Chris Martin,Jonsi from Sigur Ros,Thom Yorke,Morten Harket from A-HA

^ i agree with Tom,he has a beatiful voice(in singing he's better than Tim  )

at my second keane concert, it was the first time that tim was singing too.

it sounds terrible. and as much i love this band, but tim should shut his mouth at concerts. :wink3:

i heard his voice in This is the last time demo/primary version, that was LMAO    and what if Richard will sing someday too? :dead:

nooo richard won't sing.

and yes, tims demo-version of this is the last time is sh't.

i hope so :sweatdrop: when i heard first time that demo i thaught some amateur singer covered Keane

haha lol  at first i didn't know that this terrible voice is tims and i war really shocked as i read the truth :stunned:

 yes,the truth was painful  anyway that's good that he stopped with the experiments :wacky:

but i think he's singing all the demos. he writes the songs.

so then lets hope that we never hear him singing on a demo cd :P

he's amazing as poet, but as singer... :wacky:

but it would be nice if they could release a CD with demos,i have some but i want to hear every

yeah would be cool a special cd full with b-sides and demos

that would fockin awesome :D a pirate version enough too, like some Coldplay albums... :/

what about ricky wilson and alex turner :sneaky:

brandon is coooooool :sneaky:

I'd say just one cause I'm too lazy to think right now ;-)

David Gilmour - love his voice...
