Well, I met some of my friends at our beach, we've been swimming and went through the "Travemünde Week" which is some kind of week-long sailing competition with loads of party and stuff - it was very nice, but I'm sooo tired now because of the swimming ;)

Cool! Sounds nice....and I guess the weathers still sooo hot in Germany too? :sunny:

Bet it was great being at the beach in this weather.

Im off to bed now...night! :)

Yeeah, it's horribly hot here hehe ;)

Okay, I'm too! 't was a hard day :)

So have a nice sleep, bye!

Hello ppl,anyone here?

Ah, thank you Therese, Texasluvsjonny and Kara! I'm so glad that you noticed it! :)

I had a nice day! When I came from work my parents, my brother (who also had his birthday because we're twins) and I went to the ice-cream parlour and celebrated a bit at home afterwards. :) The weather was so fine! :nice:

Thank you sally! :) Hope everything's going fine for you.

Hey Kara! Well, it sounds boring but personally it is still the best present... I got a lot of €€€! :D Well, my parents also gave me two new polo shirts and bought my favourite After Shave which isn't very cheap.

I used the money today to order an iPod, so I hope I will get it next week. Tomorrow I will celebrate will all family members and on Sunday with some of my friends.

How was your day? Is it still so hot in UK? Last night and this afternoon we got terrible thunderstorms. Especially the one at midnight was horrible. But now it's very hot again...

Yeah money is still an excellent present as you can buy what you want with it! I wish I had a summer birthday, its always cold or snowing on mine....!

The ipod sounds good, is it a video one as well?

Well I worked all day today 9-5.30.....met up with my friend Hannah (who works at a solicitors nearby) for my lunch hour, we went for a nice meal. Boring day apart from that.... Brighton is full of tourists as usual lol. It was hot here, but not too bad.

Yeah, it's still hot here. I thought it was going to rain today because it was pretty cold in the morning but it was another hot day. It rained in the east though according to the forecast.

My day was ok, been working all, I'm really tired because I only slept about four hours.

yeah, earlier it rained very briefly in Brighton, the thunder was so loud!! I thought a bomb had gone off in the centre of town or something!!!! :stunned:

How are you finding Liverpool Sally? :)

:nice: Hehe, do you have low and high tide in Brighton at the Channel?

By the way, on the evening news I saw someone who wanted to break a new world record. He used his car to drive (or swim) from UK to France. I noticed that your water there was very clear, a bit like the Mediterranean Sea.

Ah, I'm really looking forward to my holidays in August. Maybe next week I will book the flight to London and my room in the youth hostel. Do you know where I can buy a railway ticket to Brighton? At Waterloo Station?

Only 4 hours? That's not very much! How's your life in Liverpool?

Hello everybody :D

Hey sally! I recently read an article in a newspaper about a kinda famous pub in Liverpool called the 'Casa' runned for former dockers by a few former dockers...

Have you heard about it? And probably visited it? I found it a quite cool place as I read about it :D

Liverpool's great, I love living here. Very nice town and people are very friendly.

My life ok right now, it's going well with work and I got to know nice people. I can't complain but I'm a bit confused right now.:embarassed:

I don't think I've been there but maybe I have, I've been to quite many pubs but I don't remember most of their names.

We do have tides but theyre not very strong at all...sea hardly goes out any distance.

I dont know about that person who broke the record, but just looked it up...is he the guy who's swam it 33 times??

I personally always get the train to London/Brighton from London Victoria Station.....but you should be able to get a train to London Bridge........and then to Brighton....or alternatively I think if you get a train from Waterloo, you'd could also change/get the underground to Victoria or change at somewhere liken Clapham junction....sorry thats prob awfully confusing!!

heres a map: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/system/galleries/download/print_maps/LondonAndSouthEast.pdf

^I'm on that map  ^.

Thanks for the link Kara! Oh God, very complicated? Which line do you use? The green one?

No, I think the person came from Switzerland and didn't swim through the Channel before.

Here's a picture of his "car"... ;)

Oh Dave is also here! :) Hope your day was fine!

My day was good :)

Yep train maps are so confusing if you don't know what your looking for. I bet the german maps are all one colour

:) No, they're also coloured here. Normally I don't have any problems with maps, but this one really seems to be complicated. :D

Oh I see! I remember when Richard Branson did the same thing....he wont be happy lol...his record will have been broken!

Yeah, the green lines are the ones I use, "Southern" trains...really nice trains.

It seems confusing but it shouldnt be too bad! :nice: Just focus on the green lines down to Brighton :D

Ah ok, the map helped me a bit, thank you! And you buy your tickets directly at the railway station or is there also a website like in Germany where you can order tickets? :) Do all trains stop in dumps like Balcombe or Wivelsfield? :P

You can buy the tickets at the stations, or maybe online too... http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/index.html

Wivelsfield and Balcombe, dumps?? lol!!! dont know too much about them apart from theyre in the countryside, so they might even have posher houses hehe!! You can get trains that do not stop at the smaller stations....

Ah great site, thanks thanks thanks! I really hope I can fly to London next month. I love this city very much and it would be great to meet you, Steph etc. :)

Well, I'm sorry but I have to sleep now. I didn't sleep very long last night, because it was sooo hot and the thunderstorm was loud. Good night! :)
