His character sure is an asshole, pretty funny though, quite the opposite from actual Chris.

I haven't had Coldplay dreams in a while. Um, did I tell you guys about the one where Chris was sitting on my couch trying to give me advice? It was a crazy dream, I was trying to get rid of a dead dog...

Yesterday I was skimming through the newspaper and I thought I saw "Chris Martin" but the word was actually "Charm." I got so excited too!

 

Oh, and my friend Kelly thinks I'm crazy because I think the Fray (ew) is like, wannabe Coldplay! Please say you agree with me! I mean, come on! And that stupid How To Save a Life vid, I always think it's clocks but it never is! Geez...

^i actually really like the fray. ive only seen like a sec of the video, but i loooove that song. he has an amazing voice. i think theyre like coldplay, yeah, but i think they have a slightly different style that makes me think theyre not copycats. it just really is my type of music, i guess, and i like them a lot.

No, I really think they are just Coldplay imitators!! "wannabe" is the first word that sprung to mind when I saw the "How To Save A Life" vid.

 

So anyway I totally agree. My friend Katie's like "Maybe Coldplay is their inspiration!" and I'm like "Maybe Coldplay is what they are trying to scam."

I mean seriously, those lights w/ the piano and everything in "how to save a life" ??

I think there is a bit of a stigma with Coldplay...hard to explain, but people hate Coldplay because they're Coldplay, regardless of the music.

Just because a person plays a piano doesnt mean they are trying to be Coldplay.

Coldplay and the Fray sound nothing alike.

 

And lights a videos have gone hand in hand forever.

Coldplay didnt bring them around first.

I'm don't think they're copying, but there has to be some kind of influence...it's a more pop version of Coldplay.

Ok, The Fray is....eh, this is hard to say but they are alright. :dozey:

But their music ( not just the piano) reminds me SOOO much of Coldplay, it's ridiculous! And like rayman said, the singer even moves like Chris.

And also their lyrics.

actually, yeah...he does tend to act like Chris, but that's not exactly a hard thing to do.

And I downloaded How To Save A Life. They definitely have a different sound, though it is a little reminiscent of Coldplay if you listen for one. Still, they're better than I was expecting. The title song is one of my favorites right nwo, in fact.

Anna said something about Coldplay being their inspiration. I guess that's the best way to describe it. At least they're inspired by a good (GREAT, I mean) band. :D But there are a lot of similarites between the two. The Fray just annoy me for some reason...

I was listening to muchmore music countdown and it mentioned upcoming albums in 2007 and it mentioned Coldplay!?!?!!!! and that they were going on tour to try knew songs in latin america..i was so happy just that they got mentioned...and they were talking about nelly furtados upcoming world tour and how she was trying to get celebritites that joined her on her album to go on stage with her in different parts of the world.....they mentioned chris martin for britain ...:)

I love when Coldplay gets mentioned on Tv or the radio! Yesterday I turned on my tv and the speed of sound vid was on I thought it was on Vh1 and i got all excited, but it was just the DVD I put in with their vids on it. :dozey: Lol...
