December 24, 200619 yr Okay well today, I got bored with the music on my mp3 pleyer and decided to listen to the radio. And guess what I hear, and for the first time ever on the radio?!?! Chris Martin singing 2000 Miles! I couldn't believe it :D And then awhile after on another station, they played Fix You Live from Gelredeme, Arnhem...the DJ said something to the effect that they were giving away copies of a CD purely with acoustic songs and Coldplay was one of the artists. I thought I was gonna hear an actual Fix You acoustic, but they just called it so.. ah well, I should listen to the radio more often...neat surprises
December 24, 200619 yr ^My mom was listening to the radio yesterday and she says Moses was on!! Gosh I love that radio station!
December 24, 200619 yr They played Fix You during a commercial here, its the only Coldplay song the TV ever uses, lol.
December 24, 200619 yr Well, almost everyday I see that perfume commercial with Gwyneth and the puppy lying in a field... and it just makes me connect with Chris Martin and think what a lovely family and how much I love Coldplay... I love this band! :bigcry:
December 25, 200619 yr OMFG why is it that every time i look into a freaking fashion magazine gwyneth is in it at least four times???
December 25, 200619 yr omg! coldplays version of have yourself a merry little christmas is on the radio right nowwwww:) it was so unexpected i heard the piano at first and i was like no way they would us it on the radio !! yehhhh im so happy:love:  :nice: :cheesy:
December 25, 200619 yr I was watching TV this morning and the Speed of Sound video was on!! It was so cool to see Coldplay on TV again.
December 26, 200619 yr I haven't had random Coldplay thoughts in forever. o.O That's scary. Their next album needs to come out SOON.
December 26, 200619 yr i was watching prison break and wentworth millar said "in the end theres only love" and it made me think about the extra lines chris added at the end of live in for living on the Live 2003 dvd.:)
December 26, 200619 yr I don't remember where, but here on the forum someone said something about 'Clocks' being about death. And at first I thought that was weird, because everytime I hear it, I don't think about death at all. But then I really analyzed the lyrics and listened to the song over and over again...and I was like 'OMG!' Some of the things sounds like death. Not like a painful death....but maybe peaceful and happy.........like the instrumentals. Do I sound crazy?
December 26, 200619 yr I actually want to die to clocks. I think it would be ideal. That sounds gruesome, but I mean it in the best way.. Imagine that the last thing you heard in your life was that.. I think it sounds absolutly wonderful.
December 26, 200619 yr Now that I think about it...maybe I'd like it to play at my funeral... See, the way I see it...if I die, I'm in a better place and I'm at peace than I was on Earth...so people should embrace it knowing that. So I don't want my funeral to be all sad and such. And 'Clocks' would be nice to play.
December 26, 200619 yr i didn't know that clocks was about death either... :stunned: I'll have to go and listen to it again... Interesting, as it is a very different take on it than other songs about death e.g. fix you.
December 26, 200619 yr Yeah....at first it took me a while to understand where people were coming from..but now I can understand.
December 27, 200619 yr I actually want to die to clocks. I think it would be ideal. That sounds gruesome, but I mean it in the best way.. Imagine that the last thing you heard in your life was that.. I think it sounds absolutly wonderful. That's hardcore. And oh so dramatic. But I'd do it! If I could time my death that is. :)
December 27, 200619 yr It's a bittersweet kinda thing...and I love the idea. Instead of dark and gloomy, it's light and peaceful...almost exhilerating. Maybe in a movie when someone dies they could play Clocks to make it more happier...but I depends on how they die really.
December 27, 200619 yr Personally, I want to die at the end of "This Is the Song That Never Ends". But that's just me.
December 27, 200619 yr :laugh4: I know my Clocks thing is gruesome, I dont mean it to be.. I love Clocks.
December 27, 200619 yr I do too... but I guess planning my death isn't on my priority list.
December 27, 200619 yr Personally, I want to die at the end of "This Is the Song That Never Ends". But that's just me. Nah, its not gruesome. It just makes me think, what if I were a prisoner being executed.... how could I not request some CP for background music while I am being lethally injected.
December 27, 200619 yr watched "Crossing Jordan" yesterday and it was an old episode. well, the episode ended when Jordan sat on her bed playing the guitar and then she strarted singing '2,000 Miles'! gaah... soooo nice!
December 27, 200619 yr OK, getting off the morbid subject... There's another commercial, I just keep seeing commercials cause I guess I am home recuperating from surgery... but anyway there is one for Weightwatchers, I think... they keep showing "What If..." on each screen, next screen "What If..." and so on about losing weight... well, you know I am not thinking about losing weight, although I need to, but "What If there was no light.... the whole song is in my mind each time this commercial comes on. OK... I only can watch TV, movies, concerts (Coldplay, of course and otheres) and come on this computer, the highlights of my homeboundness!
