Random Coldplay thoughts...

Featured Replies

I used to say that Chris singing reminded me of Thom's then I became a serious Coldplay fan and thought what the hell was I thinking but I was listening to The Bends and thought wow um.......yeah I see why I've thought that about him but it's not neccessarily his voice anymore it's just the way Radiohead use to play. I wonder who has done the most changing in the past years. Do I have to wonder?......

  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

i went to a restaurant-y cafe thing last night, and there was a waiter who, if you looked at him quickly, looked like Jonny boy :D

so i smiled at this waiter for the simple reason that he looked like Jonny, and i'm pretty sure he thought i was retarded.

^ lol. That's pretty funny... The downside (or perhaps upside) of looking like a member of a famous band: you get randoms smiling at you for, seemingly, no particular reason.

On this radio show they were playing this intro music that sounded EXACTLY like Guy's bassline in God Put A Smile Upon Your Face yesterday. And we got to listen to our iPods in English while we worked on our fables. I listened to Coldplay- and I wrote the required 2 pages already! And I'm not even done! haha. :P

on ellen degeneres's show the dj's name is johnny and whenever she says his name instantly i think of coldplays johnny and i always makes me smile.....one time i think she even said johnny boy:D

I was just watching Grey's anatomy and then my mum's all exited about this scene, what s going to happen and I'm all like "ITS COLDPLAY!!!!"

i watched Live 2003 yesterday, coz i hadn't in a while, and it made me smile like i was in love.

i remember once i made my mum watch a bit of it with me, and she looks at them for a while and goes, "hmm. i'd like to bring them all home and give them a good shave!" so then i had to defend their lovely facial hair.

"I think i'm crap. I'm a crap guitar player. I'm really not very good. And i thought I was a good singer until I met Coldplay. That guy's got a real voice. He can sing ."

Matt Bellamy from Muse..

I thought that was so cute..:nice:

so today i watch Project Runway season 3, one designer won a challenge he said "now i won the challenge and next week i will go back to square one and waiting for next challenge."

I was watching 'My family' today, and Abbie kept going on about Coldplay and how the tickets were sold out, and Mikey kept selling the ticket over and over again to the guy trying to impress her. and they mentioned Sparks! and she was drooling over Chris. who wouldnt! ;)

argh, how much i miss that show...

wonder when they'll start showing it again on german tv :(

OK, this is really too weird... today I was in the food store and the checkout guy asked me if I liked Coldplay... I said "How did you know!" OK, I had my black CP track jacket on... so he asked me if I saw them and I said "Oh yeh, Orlando, Tampa and Philly" Then he said "Great band, music genius's" and asked who opened for them ... told him Fiona Apple down here and Richard Ashcroft in Philly and he said "Oh, yeh that guy is phenomenal"... This is when it gets weird ... as soon as I said "Oh yeh", I here the first notes of Chris's piano to Speed of Sound (da da dah dah, da da dah dah) on the store music and yes, "The Speed of Sound" starts playing... so I go "That's Coldplay! Right now! It's playing on your store stereo!" And the checkout guy said "oh yeh, it is them".. so we were having a Coldplay moment together! But the people behind me were looking at us like we were crazy... or I was crazy! Then I had to walk slowly out of the store, but that was easy to do, since I was walking with crutches ... had to hear all of Speed of Sound. I thought it was cool, as I never hear CP in the food store! :stunned:

^ they hear everything.

they see everything.

coldplay's just everywhere. :)

OK, so I get home freaking out from that whole Speed of Sound playing at the store checkout...my friend calls and says "I'm coming over, I got something for you" He gets over with two get well cards signed from all my coworkers... and alot of them signed with stuff like "Get Well Soon and keep listening to your Coldplay" or "We miss you and your Coldplay talk" and crazy stuff like that. Then he gives me a DVD of the Much Music TV Toronto Show that one of the guys at work recorded for me. It was too much! I didn't even tell anyone at work to do that... how did they know? So today was like Coldplay healing day! :)

And I might also add thanks to the too kind Kaycee from this site, who sent me the Toronto full concert earlier this week... I luv it! Coldplay fans are the best!

my mom said a very similar thing once, that i should mail them all razorblades to shave with. and black sneakers to match their outfits.

FINALLY got the toronto concert, both the MP3 and the movie. HOMG, i LOOOVE it. i need to figure out how to get it on my ipod. ive been listening to the MP3 obsessively. "speed of sound" and "the scientist" are AMAZING, and it brings me back to when i saw them. *sigh*. i want to watch it constantly, but this has been a crazy week, and i have midterm exams next week. i wish i had a DVD burner to put it on DVD.

i write creatively compulsively, and last night i wrote a scene for a story which i thought was decently good. i was reading it over and listening to music, and "the scientist" came on, and i noticed that the scene in the story WAS the scientist!! i subconsciously wrote ABOUT the scientist! this girl goes up to her boyfriend's apartment to tell him shes sorry etc etc, it just follows the lyrics exactly. i cracked up. it was so creepy yet so cool.

oh coldplay, how i love thee. I WANT TO WATCH THE TORONTO CONCERT AGAIN!!

i also came home from school early today because i had a bad day, and im currently writing my term paper listening to coldplay VERY LOUDLY. its quite nice.

aww. that's cute as. so are dom's sexy yellow pants! :shocked2:

Oh yes.

Oh yeahh:drunk:

What was really thinking Chris while making "Easy to please"? it's like a song to cut ur veins... uhh.

i've always found Easy To Please a bit creepy. the background noise and everything...yeah. very different. i still like it though:D

^ true, but most of their old stuff is very depressing..

Yes... but is actually what I like the most! actually all before X&Y, lol.

^ me too. i don't wanna be one of those people who constantly goes on about how shit X&Y is, because i do like it, i really do...just not as much as the old goods. i was just thinking the other day that the lyrics on X&Y...seem to be almost a step down from Rush and Parachutes and all the other old stuff? i don't know. i just prefer the older lyrics, they're kind of...fresher, more original and interesting.

their new lyrics are all a bit happier...and more positive.

i guess they wouldn't release a song containing the line:"i will never survive" anymore.

:laugh3: can you imagine? they'd be accused of wearing eyeliner and black nailpolish.
