December 27, 200619 yr :laugh4: I know my Clocks thing is gruesome, I dont mean it to be.. I love Clocks. =) My song'd be either Gravity or A Ghost. Or a non-Coldplay song 1000 Words
December 27, 200619 yr OK' date=' getting off the morbid subject... There's another commercial, I just keep seeing commercials cause I guess I am home recuperating from surgery... but anyway there is one for Weightwatchers, I think... they keep showing "What If..." on each screen, next screen "What If..." and so on about losing weight... well, you know I am not thinking about losing weight, although I need to, but "What If there was no light.... the whole song is in my mind each time this commercial comes on. OK... I only can watch TV, movies, concerts (Coldplay, of course and otheres) and come on this computer, the highlights of my homeboundness![/quote'] Hey I saw that advert too! And thought the exact same thing: WHAT IF wouldn't stop playing inside my head. . . . . hehehe :D Well, here's a random thing. I was on eBay just looking around for (what else) Coldplay stuff when I found this! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=85973&item=250054463164 Hilarious, just hilarious! :laugh3: Although I think it would be super awesome if some company produced really sweet/realistic looking Coldplay dolls (you know, like the Barbie things) and each guy had their instrument that was miniturized and could really play a tune. Maybe there'd be a button on Chris' piano that would play the circular "Clocks" riff or something. That would be sooooo neat! I'd bet those dolls would sell like hotcakes!!!! (or is this just my weirdness taking over) ? ? ? ? :dozey: Oh well . . . .
December 27, 200619 yr OMG! Those dolls are freaky. Why is Chris' the biggest? ...Nevermind. :dozey: :P Hey! If I got to chose which Coldplay song to die to, I wouldn't die to Clocks, I'm about to die, that would freak me out! I'd die to the end of Daylight! "Slowly breaking through daylight...." Hell yeah. And this death discussion reminds me of something one of my friends once said. She said, "If I die and go to hell, I'm going to be erging (rowing) and listening to Coldplay for all of eternity."
December 28, 200619 yr And this death discussion reminds me of something one of my friends once said. She said' date=' "If I die and go to hell, I'm going to be erging (rowing) and listening to Coldplay for all of eternity."[/quote'] That's what I do now!!! :) Everytime I have to erg during practice I play a different concert! As for what song to die to... Don't Panic :D
December 28, 200619 yr Aw, to die to Don't Panic would be nice. Yeah, for me it's either Daylight or maybe the end to The Hardest Part-the piano part. OMG, this place is getting infested with these little bastards who don't like Coldplay. What's going on???
December 28, 200619 yr ^^^^ I know! If you don't like Coldplay, why would you find a huge site and sign up w/ there forum and pester the people who actually like the band? Trolls make absolutely no sense to me!!
December 28, 200619 yr On the drive back from the place we were staying at over Christmas, I played 'Parachutes' and my sister goes to me "Is that guy and Gwyneth Paltrow still happily married?" and I was like "Yeah, they just had another kid in April" and she goes "What did they name this one? Is it Apple and Pear?" and I go "No, Apple and Moses" and she's like "WHAT? Apple and Roses?" I started to laugh and I'm like "No, Moses not Roses"... then I went on to tell her the other Coldplay kids and when I told her about Ava she said that she loves that name and that she had already decided that it would be her future daughters name.. Oh, and three of my cousins (they're brothers) like Coldplay! One of them says that they're alright, another likes them okay as well, and another likes them and has all three of their albums on his computer (but he teased me about how much I like them)! I'm happy about that!
December 28, 200619 yr I get teased on how much I like them also. I get teased everyday anyway. I was listening to Amsterdam while cutting myself. And I love Fix You. "Tears stream down your face." I totally know how that feels...
December 28, 200619 yr I was looking through a Delia's book and on one of the pages it had a bunch of sweaters and the title of the page was Cold Play and of course I freaked out lol
December 28, 200619 yr I got my friend into Coldplay and for Christmas she got AROBTTH, she already had X&Y. I called her last night and she was playing it.
December 29, 200619 yr I was talking to Jenika about this, and apparently I don't sound crazy when I say this, even though I think I kinda do. :laugh3: Anyways, I think the song 'X&Y' is kinda sexy. Like it's dark and mysterious and forbidden...and sexy. I mean, can't you imagine this song playing in a dark romance, where there's some sort of forbidden love or something? Gosh maybe I'm just really crazy...
December 29, 200619 yr ^I kinda know what you mean.....it's a very angsty, angry song, and I always found something about it quite sexy. I'm having such a Coldplay day today....listening to songs like Daylight and NMKMFOLG (im too lazy :laugh4:) have just really brought it all back to me. They sound even better when you haven't listened to them in a long time. 'Sometimes I wake up and i'm falling asleep I think that maybe the curtains are closing on me But I wake up, yes I wake up smiling...' :nice: I should never be allowed to forget about songs like this.
December 29, 200619 yr Some radio station played Clocks today, it was a little surprising, considering I can't really remember the last time I heard Coldplay on the radio. :)
December 29, 200619 yr My friend- who is actually a memeber of this forum (rocker in front) and doesn't come around that much anymore- likes Jonny's playing a LOT. She says he was "tearin' it up!" in the song "High Speed." and everytime she hears it she'll go "Tear it UP, Jonny!!!!!!"
December 30, 200619 yr I was listening to Philly's WXPN tonight, and they had this 88.5 songs of the year countdown, and 'Talk' was #21! A lot of good stuff was on the countdown. You check the list here.
December 30, 200619 yr That is a good list^ (Coldplay AND YYY- you know I'm happy!) "Crazy" was no.1!!?? EW.
December 30, 200619 yr One of my friends went over to France and one of the first things I thought of when she told me she was going was "Oh my gosh, she'll only be a few hours away from Coldplay! She'll be so close!" At least, compared to the distance between Australia and England she'll be close.
December 30, 200619 yr ^Oh, I always get myself thinking this too!!!I always wonder that english ppl from the bord can be very, very close to them at that moment although they have no idea... Well, there's a soap opera here that plays the hardest part sometimes...So, even hating soap operas I watch it everyday... :smug: It's always exciting to listen to the hardest part everywhere even being just for some seconds... :P
December 30, 200619 yr Me and my best friend have never been angrier with some band than with Coldplay. We spent the months after X&Y was released saying mean things about Chris (mostly about him anyway), half-laughing about it and then started moaning and complaining. We felt so betrayed and i only got into x&y about a week ago.
December 30, 200619 yr i hear one coldplay song a day atleast during work. it's usually yellow, clocks, in my place, or talk. if my day has been completely hectic and i'm losing patients with everyone, as soon as i hear cp it all goes away. it instantly takes me back to the concert. it's sooo soothing.
December 30, 200619 yr Oh and I curse myself for not going to see Coldplay when I had the chance to. Twice. Twice!
December 31, 200619 yr Coldplay Moment Nothing biggly funny, but I was reading the book The Hobbit and one of the chapters was "The Clouds Burst". My mind started singing . . . . "To show Day... Light." :)
December 31, 200619 yr on christmas, my mom and i were talking about all the concerts we go to with my cousin and aunt (though we havent gone to many this year...coldplay, the strokes, death cab for cutie, and the who, which isnt a lot for us), and my aunt was like "the closest ive gotten to a concert in the past 20 years is watching the coldplay concert from austrailia on DVD." i was like "LIVE 2003?!" and she was like "yeah, that's it. its so beautifully done!" and talked about it for a while. i knew she liked them, but this was really cool. she gave my dad AROBTTH for christmas several years ago, and when i told her that i saw coldplay that first time, she went "oh my god, can i touch you?!?!?" i find this very cool. i have matreshka dolls of the beatles like the ones of coldplay a few pages before this one.
