Cole......(in case you didnt know, he was boarded by Orpik in the final weeks of the regular season, and had his neck fractured) hes out and i really doubt that the canes will recover, we had a serious run for the cup going, we were number one in the league for the majority of the season until he was hurt, and now we are in the top 5.....:-/ sad day but anyways GO CANES

Carolina Hurricanes (2.) - Montreal Canadiens (7.) Montreal in seven. (I'm biased) Goaltending will decide this series. New Jersey Devils (3.) - New York Rangers (6.) Jersey in six. The Rangers cinderella series ends in the first round. Two words: Marty Brodeur. Buffalo Sabres (4.) - Philadelphia Flyers (5.) Sabres in six. The Sabres are downright scary, they could be the team from the East to make it to the final. WEST: Detroit Red Wings (1.) - Edmonton Oilers (8.) Wings in five. Detroit just has a bomb team. Period. Dallas Stars (2.) - Colorado Avalanche (7.) Stars in six. Jose Theodore? I'm glad Montreal got rid of that guy. Calgary Flames (3.) - Anaheim Mighty Ducks (6.) Flames in seven. Perhaps the closest series in the first round. Nashville Predators (4.) - San Jose Sharks (5.) Sharks in six. The Preds aren't as dangerous without Vokoun even though Mason did score a goal.

April 22, 200620 yr I was pretty happy that the Flames won in OT. I was pretty worried they would lose the way the Sharks were dominating in the third period and the first 5 minutes of overtime. Can't wait for the Habs series to start tonight!

Decent goaltending gets you nowhere in the playoffs. Aren't they playinf Nittymaki anyways? I know if looks like I hate the Flyers but I actually like them. I'm a big fan of Knuble, Gagne, and Forsberg.
