Reacting to emotions

Featured Replies

Do you react to people's emotions? It can be real life or fiction, like when you watch a film and something dramatic happens or just something that gets to you.

I believe I am, I'm used to crying during movies and TV shows and I actually feel sadness or happiness depending on the situation (specially when I start applying that scene to real life...and what would happen if...)

the ability to make you feel is what makes a film good, I prefer films that make you proud and it gives you tingles.

"I may not be able to carry the ring, but I can carry you!" :laugh4:

EDIT: also happens in songs and stuff, eg. the end of amsterdam, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls etc.

It doesn't take much to make me cry, Armaggeddon for example. I don't just cry when Bruce Willis dies, I start the weeping when that guy goes to see his son and gives him a toy spaceship

Well...I often feel the emotions but have a problem with showing them....but actually I think that shows that those are REAL emotions...not like when something great happens...and you can't stop jumping:thinking:

this would be fake....

and when my friends have a problem but I think it isn't THAT bad I don't know how to react....I have some friends who are almost crying then in such a faked way....:dozey:

eheh... I love when girls cry watching movies!!! :laugh4:

Haha....wow...I can remember when I was younger and watched some sad kids movies I was sometimes near tears...but of course I didn't let them out....the first time I cried about a film was maybe a year ago...it was about the end of "Philadelphia" but just because of the music....:cry:and the situation...

Oh and I forgot one film..."Tommy" the rock opera by the who....I mean..the film is damn weird...but the end....when he sings this song...and his parents died...and everything is as bad as before.....and when he gets into this water...and there is also shown a symbol of freedom...what a moment!Yeah i cried at this...

^Oh yes cast away....this was a sad moment when wilson got lost in sea....cry:

But then there was a film about what happened to Wilson afterwards, so everything was cleared up!!:)

I think it is just when I cry about a film...that i sit there and the tears stream down my face...and that's it!

ah....and I begin to say "shit, shit, shit, why is this so sad?why is it beautiful? Why is this such a strange feeling?"

When I watch movie or read a book, I sometimes.Hard to explain, just like try to be a bit like a character from it.I start talking like character and stuff. Not always, of course, but sometimes.Like I'm trying to be this character.I know you wasn't aking about that, but still.

And yes, sometimes if someone is crying or dies I'm crying too, nothing to do with it.But it's rare for me.For example, Lion King.Every time I see his fater dies I'm crying."Somebody...Anybody.....":bigcry: So sad)

omg! WILSON! the scene was so well done that you couldn't not cry

Oh the situation was cleared up?
