Sheryl Crow defends Coldplay against critics

But he's so sweet and funny and...seemingly laid back. :dozey: It just seems wrong! lol

So guilt by association I guess? I know a lot of people don't like Gwyneth, they say she's pretty snobby, but Chris doesn't come off that way at all. And a Bono wannabe? Pshh.

Chris is a bright, funny, electric mind BARELY encased in a wirey, lithe body. Although I drool for Guy, I really like Chris. I think he is truly a brilliant artist and deserves some slack which the press doesn't even have a clue about giving. He seems to completely floor any interviewer who encounters him and he has to rein himself in for them, sadly.

I will bet Gwyneth knows what a lucky girl she is, even when she is missing him, while he is off creating new music. I envy her (in a good way). She cannot be bored with Chris, that seems sure.:laugh3:

Ditto. I can't help but love Chris.:smug: He's just a lovable guy. :D
Hey nevaehdreamz! I think you'd be surprised how many people dislike Chris. Many say he's just a Bono-wanna be and overly ambitious or what have you. And I've heard of a lot of people not liking Gwyneth and that makes them dislike Chris too.. and then that makes them dislike Coldplay. It's all quite stupid, really.

Incubus. Started off very strong and kinda crazy.. music all over the place. To albums like Morning View where they actually got slower and a bit smarter. Nothing ever changes though, people still said at the time that they sold out. Something I've often noticed with a lot of different bands, is that fans don't generally give artists much room for growth and change. A bit sad.

Hey thank you. I learned something new today.

well i kinda regonised in Kelly's words (bedofroses).

i kinda feel i started on not liking X&Y with the way all the singles and all the tour and everything were done. Wrong choices under the pressure of EMI made me kinda mad on Coldplay's not minding it. I still don't appriciate X&Y like i do the first two albums and i have learned to appriciate those two even more. i think that X&Y was done in too much time, and as i think every album should be representing some phase this one was presenting us too much cus of the time it was spent doing it during which all the guys were changing, one way or the other.there are beautiful songs on this cd like TKC, square one, talk, what if , twisted logic..and there are those which were done or for too little time or too much time and made them kinda too...lets say simple...

in that way i don't like X&Y, and i don't see myself as a hater of any kind, i just want to belive in progress....(and under this i don't think computers are the only proof that credits that..there's other) and i want to belive guys have guts to speak their mind...just more guts do some stuff..

Just found this and thought it would kinda fit into the "Celebrities that like Coldplay"-section:

According to In Touch Weekly, before Tom Cruise started his promotional tour for Mission: Impossible III, Tom laid down a set of rules for Kate, including everything from the sound level in the nursery to what she could eat around their baby.

1. NO SUGAR NEAR SURI Katie loves sweets, especially cupcakes from Billys Bakery in New York. But now Tom, whos a health nut, is insisting that she avoid eating sugar in front of Suri, because babies can smell it and detect it, says a pal.

2. KEEP THE LIGHTS LOW

Tom believes bright light is very harsh for the baby, so lighting must be kept to a bare minimum, an insider says.

3. NO LOUD MUSIC

Katie likes to listen to Coldplay, but Tom wants classical music such as Debussy and Wagner to be played at home. It builds the babys creative powers, says a friend. “It helps with problem solving.

^ poor Kate seems very restrictive

i agree on the classical music but no coldplay!

would be more creative if a variety of music were played.

The guy who wrote the critisicm in the New York Times is a twat face, another Coldplay fan pointed out that the guy needs to get his facts right, cos in his article he said Coldplay have spawned a generation of one word bands like Athelete, Keane, Embrace and Travis not realising that Embrace was out before Coldplay and Travis round about the same time. So my point is, he knows F*ck all
