Like, say you are just looking at somebody, you don't know them and they are involved in some other acitivity with other people about 10 metres away.

 

Why do you sometimes automatically dislike a person?

 

It is quite strange. And the funny thing is, at least with me, my first impression is usually correct and even getting to know them, I will continue to dislike the person.

 

It depends on the type of person they are I guess.

 

If someone is 10 metres away, its usually the loud ones who could have the chance to piss me off. Not everyone who is loud does it, but its the ones who appear to be kind of fake and just outside of their own personality.

 

If I can hear what theyre saying and stuff, yeah I'm usually pretty good at judging whether or not I will like that person.

 

There are those people who are just naturally dislikeable from the beginning. They are kindof awkward to talk to, have a real typified sense of humour (Not a particularly bad one, but you know their type of jokes and exactly how they will say them before it comes out, and you just have to pretend to laugh).

 

The other night I met this Italian guy who's just moved into my building, on a night out, he was with some other people from my building and we all met there. This guy's real cool, class act. So he was super nice and friendly with all of us when shaking our hands (The group I was with) but theres this one guy, who I dont hang around with often, he lives in my building too, and we just dont like him. Well, when the Italian guy came around to him, even with hardly knowing English or knowing anything about this guy, he just suddenly became colder. Haha, you could see it on his face, he knew.

 

Many people naturally dislike me y'know, not from first impression (Im always liked there!) but if I see them again a couple times after that they tend to think I'm arrogant, apparently. Thats how its been explained to me.

 

Sometimes Im just in ignorant moods and dont feel like talking to people much, but I always say hello.

In my class there're a few girls I really dislike. In general, it's more impossible for me to dislike a girl than a boy, really don't know why, maybe cos it's not so difficult to get on with a boy as to get on well with a girl.

 

So, there're a few girls here that annoy me somehow and of course I don't like them. I don't like the way they talk, what do they say and what do they do.

 

I don't even say "hello" to them cos they don't say it to me so why should I care? But, the weirdest thing is that deep deep inside I even like them. That's strange, but if I don't see them for a long time I start to think that it'd be great to see them again and stuff...Every time I dislike somebody I like this person inside and miss him/her somehow.

 

I think it's not very clear to miss people you don't like but oh well...That's the way I dislike people.

Im the same, i dont like annoying people.

i dislike a few people, just because of mostly their hostility towards others. Everyone has equal opinions. Like when people automatically think WE are the kings of the world (USA) and that other smaller less developed countries dont matter. I dislike them.

 

i dont hate anyone actually, hate is too strong of a word to be used very often. The only person i could ever hate would have to be someone who does harm to someone i love, like my gf or family

My first impressions are almost always wrong. I find that when I genuinely want to know what makes someone tick they are always far more unique, complex people with alot more going on than I could have imagined. Some have personalities that work with my own more than others', but there is always something there.

 

The one time I am prone to making a harsh judgement is when I see someone being particularly cruel to someone else. That ticks me off.
