What's happening that day? The Omen and the next Left Behind book are coming out. Not much else. All hype, no reality.

 

Besides, from what I understand of Revelation, the number is actually a name, not a date. In Hebrew, letters and numbers use the same symbols, so numbers can spell out words.

 

When the anitchrist is born, no one will know. In fact when he makes a big international splash, everyone is going to like him. He'll broker big peace deals and get the diffrent religions to stop fighting. It will take years before people will realise he was lying.

 

At least that's what I understand. The funny thing about prophesy is that even if you are one of the people who believes it, it won't make sense until after it happens.
