Haha I see a little crisis happening here ^^ Just read three pages of the thread The Faceman mentioned and, well.. what shall I say.. the people involved obviously know what they're talking about but all the others have no clue - it's this typical "a group of people who live in their own world"-thing, so.. have your own world, have your own thread, and be happy about it :D

Oooh, one more person to add to my ignore list. Yay. Hello number two! *coughFACEMANcough* Can you and Sam Malone please go stir up shit elsewhere? Thanks.

Ā

ANYWAY....

The real issue here is that Nelly Furtado is with Universal- one of EMI's biggest rivals and that the Chris Martin duet was generating alot of buzz.
I think you're totally right. It probably has nothing to do with style, it's all about damn money. :dozey:

oh, and they're the same person too.

just different usernames.

Ā

Ha!! don't make me laugh. This whole "same person thing" really is getting boring. If you'd actually care to read our posts properly then you'd clearly see that we all have different writing styles. Plus the fact that on many occassions we are all online at the same time. Now out of respect, I shall leave this thread be as we seem to have deviated from the point. If you wish to continue this discussion then come on the Partridge for moderator thread. And when I say discussion, that's exactly what I mean. If you can't think of anything to say apart from "You're all the same person" then please refrain.

Me and the faceman never stir up anything. you'll find that a handful of the coldplayers tend to give us grief for no reason other than venting their frustration out on us. And as for saying we are the same person it's kind of getting a little tiresome. The person who owns this site knows if anybody has two or more accounts, they monitor it... I'm just here for the love and to show off my golden maine.

So has anyone heard this track yet?

Ā

Because I got the new Nelly Furtado album last night, and I've listened to the whoel thing. Its pretty good. Some of the tracks are absolutely sick. "All Good Things Come To An End" is one of the best tracks on the album, and I can totally picture Chris' voice on it. Listening to the lyrics I'm sure that he wrote a good chunk of them too, becuase they're different from what Nelly would traditionally write.

Ā

Anyways, the song is not "rocky" at all. Its one of the softest songs on the album. I really don't see how Chris' voice could have sounded rocky!! Basically EMI, as always, have been huge dicks.

Ā

Listen to it yourselves and let me know what you think. I honestly think that its a bit ridiculous. If you aren't able to find the track I'll post it tonight.

Years ago, Neil Young was sued by his label for literally not sounding enough like himself...I S**T you not. From what I've heard, Coldplay want an edgier 4th album. Guess they'd better watch out. If it doesn't sound enough like their older material, EMI might sue them too.

Ā

It's a shame when an artist works so hard for their fame and pays for it by not being allowed to expand their musical horizons.
