By the way, if anyone is wondering about the mask Ivan Kaviedes put on after scoring the third goal, it is paying homage to Otilino Tenorio, who died last year in a car accident. He was a young player who had played for Ecuador a couple of times, every time he scored a goal he would put the mask on.

Ivan Kaviedes, one of the best attacker of Ecuador...he played in Perugia team in Italy...

no it's not a surprise...yet. Ecuador have done great qualifications, if i'm not wrong they finished 3rd after Brazil and Argentina. they really deserved it after all. i think it was predictable that they'll be better than Poland or Costa Rica
