June 23, 200620 yr it's not that i hate text messages i quite like them i don't find them silly because it shows that someone else just thought of you and is willing to spend money for you too :)
June 23, 200620 yr Spend money... ...bearing in mind, i managed to get £40 free credit for my phone a couple months ago, so i'm still in the free credit;)
June 23, 200620 yr yeah, okay ... i have 100 free sms each month :dozey: but it shows that people wasted a thought on you :)
June 23, 200620 yr Yep, even if it's to see if you have arrived in your location okay, it's always nice to get a text.
June 23, 200620 yr I don't like text messages at all, I tend to forget them and it can take hours till I reply and some people get really angry because of this.
June 24, 200620 yr I like getting text messages and sometimes I send some silly ones to my friends just for fun but most of the time I'm really lazy when it comes to answering a text message...it takes ages before you finaly can press the send button. I prefer to call people instead of sending them a text message though, because it's a lot easier
June 24, 200620 yr i hate taking time out to send a friend a text message only get a message like 2 days later if not at all. im like arrgh what a waste !! when some sporting event goes down i always get messages of how my team will get thrashed or something, thats fun though
June 24, 200620 yr Text messages are annoying, no? Dont you want to hear someones voice? Isnt it a lot more, personal? Genuine? Texting is pretty rude I think. I do it because its cheap, but still. I guess though in a way its kindof rude to call someone and just expect them to dive for the phone, as opposed to sending a casual message that they can read when they want. As for anonymous numbers, Cant they be scary and invading? I keep getting some from a number, it says things like "where r u?" and creepy shiat like that. I reply, asking who it is, and theres no reply for a few days until they write something creepy again. Its beginning to frighten me a bit. haha! Creepy text messages! Perhaps you are giving out your number to random people whilst drunk!
June 24, 200620 yr I believe in the uk, if you keep getting spam from one number you can get your network to block that number :) Useful if your local town has your network's shop in, but pants if your mobile phone povider's nearest shop is 40 miles away
June 24, 200620 yr I prefer texts when I'm communicating with my friends. I don't care if they call me... See, thing is, I'm always wanting to talk to someone or hang out or something, and I just know it gets on people's nerves. And I mean, if you call then they're sorta obligated to hang out with you, whereas if you text them they can respond whenever. Yeah, I overthink things too.
