I mean...it is only a third place game....if you are not from the countries that play...it could be bring...so I'm only curious..

When you talk about the World Cup in a few years, no-one will mention the 3rd or 4th place, it's only about the winner and the team that was beaten in the final..

There isn't an award ceremony with pedestals like with skiing or at the olympics, so why should they care? No-one talks about 3rd or 4th places afterwards anyway.. I think such a game shouldn't even be played, it's about the World Cup winner and the rest doesn't matter!

I'm hoping Portugal will win to match what we did 40 years ago. But, if Germany wins I won't be sad bacause I'm very proud to see my country in the best 4 teams of the World Cup. :)

Portugal are a violent, arrogant, cheating, scum bag of a team. Can't believe we nearly had their manager. Ick!

It's actually a pity that there are these bad tensions against the Portuguese team.. I agree with you, they did a lot of cheating (like many teams did, but Portugal definitely did the most), but I wish they wouldn't have done it, they have so much potential, they came that far, and they could be a fantastic team without cheating and diving! Just like C. Ronaldo, he could be such a brilliant player, but he destroys his image by acting like a complete asshole!

 

My best friend is from Portugal and I guess it's very hard for some Portuguese fans to support their team when they see so many people accusing them of cheating and diving.. You still wanna support your country, but you don't wanna look like you're supporting cheaters, you know what I mean?
