yep too true. fifa should start cracking down more on that kinda stuff. the 'my game is fair play' promotion is crap and is very superficial to give off a good impression but something more serious has to be done about biggotry and racism. in soccer

yeah.

he hit frings twice and also kicked him ... and frings gets punished because he's defending himself.

pure bullcrap.

SEE this is the exact probem - fifa punishes the retaliator - they don't punish the instigator --> which in my opinion, is the one who commits the bigger evil.

right ... :dozey:

the australians and the germans have to try that too the next time ... lol

i guess we'll get further than

yep too true. i spose its like that in many sports.

in aussie rules however the 3rd man into anything automatically gets reported as should be done in soccer- buffon and christiano ronaldo's appeals to the referee should warrant automatic yellow cards. stuff like that makes the game very unsportsmanlike. players should let the referee make the final decision on their own without some player whinging in their ear.

grace - looks like we'll have to play dirty if we want to get anywhere... :dozey: it's a shame but, the game loses so much of its integrity.

huntdj - 3rd man should always be reported

and the one who initiated the problem -ie materazzi, and the argentinian who hit frings first. it's bullshit

right words, but i've gotta admit that not every german has nazi roots :dozey:

If you thought I was implying that, I'm deeply sorry...and I'm not being mellow-dramatic. I was raised around alot of racism, and live in a house now with a staunch racist. The last thing I want to do is Steriotype a race. Sorry if you thought that!!

'I hate racists and all prejudiced people are all like'...NOW I'm kidding!!!

@ TracieMorgan: don't worry, we'd never say you think of all Germans as nazis! It's the same like calling every Algerian a terrorist and you obviously don't think that!

Thx! It sounded like Grace might have thought that, and I'd rather be clear with my words than have a misunderstanding like that. This 'Actions speak louder than words' thing is not true. If you intend those words to hurt, then it's still an act...of will...but I've aready said that on another thread. I just wantedf Grace to know what I wasn't saying.

Yeah I'm sure she's certain about that now.

And I agree with your opinion that words CAN be valued as much as actions!
