Losing My Mind definitely give me the chills.

But my favourite songs this week are Don't Let Me Down and Please Elise. Just because they put me in a good mood

:laugh3: I do :uhoh:

My 2nd bach of tix (for the 6th) came through today... I know the 7th is sold out, but a week after the 2nd show has been on sale, my ticket numbers were 67-70.... I thought they would have sold more than that.

RIGHT NOW Nova is playing 'Losing Friends Over Love' on the radio. New single???

Now you've got Please Elise stuck in my head too!! Well actually just the first couple of lines actually... :P

So you got seats? I only got into GA for the 7th. It'll be my first time in GA though :D

Seats? There are no seats inside the Palace. All standing room!

does everyone know that they are re-broadcasting Eskimo Joe's One Night Stand performance on triple j monday night at 8pm for Live at the Wireless. it will be replayed again on sunday at 5pm.

this would be a good time to maybe do a higher quality recording.

no news yet on a television broadcast of the event. Triple JTV concert series starts in july.

I'm pretty happy with the recording I got, but thanks for the heads up!

Oh, and Losing Friends Over Love IS the next single. Please have decent B-Sides!!!

Cool, I like that song. Nice and catchy.

Although I would have thought Don't Let Me Down would have been the next single, given that they played it live @ the Triple J show.

I've been trying to watch Good News Week online but the player doesn't seem to play anything for me...

Try the video podcast?

Also, there's a treat in the Eskimo Joe Download Thread.

Another treat just arrived :)

:D I'll download it as soon as my computer gets fixed!

Stuart McLeod's Top 10 favourite songs of all Time

Spoon - The Way We Get By

Quite simply one of the best "feel good quick" songs. As soon as those drums come rolling on, you just can't help but nod your head. Great one for getting ready to hit the town.

The Beatles - A Day In The Life

No list is complete without this song. A song that has no real deep meaning, and yet feels so important and powerful. Haunting verse melody mirrored by McCartney's chipper break segues to the chaos of the string section, another George Martin masterstroke.

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

They wrote so many great tracks, but this is too important not to mention. To have one song define a whole musical movement is pretty powerful stuff.

Beach Boys - God Only Knows

With the exception of the bizarre musical interlude in the middle, where Wilson loses his mind, as well as the time signature, this is a genius at work. Simply incredible melodies that you don't hear anywhere these days. And he was only 24 at the time.

Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil

There has to be a Stones number on this list, and this has to be my favourite. Jumping Jack Flash always gets me going, but this track is one of the greatest driving songs of all time.

AC/DC - Back In Black

A powerhouse song from one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Blistering bite on Malcolm's rhythm guitar, solid as a rock under brother Angus' licks. Guaranteed to get the party started

Al Green - Let's Stay Together

Super slick vocals and amazing production, so warm and cosy, this track is great on a winter's day, under the blankets with a loved one

Arcade Fire - Wake Up

An incredibly exciting debut, this album blew my socks off. One of the more powerful tracks on the record, apparently David Bowie got on stage with them and sang this.

Beck - Nobody's Fault But My Own

Eerie, otherworldly sounds and instruments make this track stand out on this brilliant album, Mutations. This song stayed with me for months after I first heard it.

Led Zeppelin - Kashmir

Insanely powerful riff, this is psychedelic rock at it's best. No surprise then, that we've been influenced by this...
