I think I'm going to have to get there reeeally early, I'm only just over 5 foot! I'm considering climbing on top of people if it comes to that :P

Tauiwi thanks for welcoming me. And Graceful, I'll go and stand behind you. I can just look over you. Just.

Tonight!! Gettin there b4 8. EJ not on until 10:45 though....

Have fun everyone who is going.

I'm sure the show will be fantastic!! :D

Half an hour until show-time I believe.

wow they dont hit the stage until 10-45! that must mean they will come off well after midnight. i guess you guys dont have the same curfews as we do here in sydney.

Melbourne

It was bloody awesome. How was Bob Evans dressed up as Jesus! Surprised to see Katie Steele. She's performing somewhere in the Gippsland this weekend.

Didn't see you Tauiwi. I asked some tall blokes at the front, but they just looked at me like I was crazy. Did you get to the front? I was just a few meters away from Kav. My neck is sore from looking up and I was blinded by the lights, but could see every drop of sweat. Will go further back tonight, maybe on the steps. The sound will be a lot better there too and you can see the video stuff better.

Now I need to try and get some sleep while inside my brain it's still going like: La la la la ... life is better with you

Yeah that was hilarious. lol, I was considerate last night and decided not to go front row... I was up on the balcony, right up the front in a red checked shirt. It was an awesome spot. Got to see everything going on, including a fight in the last song, and someone fainting pre-show. What were you wearing, MimDownUnder? There were a lot of good looking girls at the gig. It was great fun, except the sound was way too loud, its almost like they thought they were playing at Rod Laver...

As for tonight, its sold out, so it'll be much more packed... and everything is 1/2 an hour later!! So they wont come on until 11:15pm... It's ridiculous!

Hmm so where's the best place to be? I'll be there tonight, but it'll be my first concert at the palace theatre so I'll probably get a bit lost!

Anywhere on the floor, I reckon. Its all standing, no seats. If you get there before 9:30pm, you 'should' be able to get front 5 rows standing room, so a good spot. It's a good venue anyway, so you will feel close to the band. As for getting lost, you wont because its really a simple and nice venue.

Ahh ok thanks. I'll definitely be there before 9.30 cos I have to travel a fair bit and want to avoid peak hour traffic. What's the balconys you were talking about?

You'll see them. They are on the sides, overlooking the stage. Too loud up there though, but awesome view.

Thanks :) see you there! ...maybe :P

lol prob not... its gonna be full (sold out), so we'll see. Anyway, the times are:

8:30pm - Doors open

8:45pm - 9:15pm Steve Parkin

9:45pm - 10:30pm Bob Evans and Band

11pm - 12:30pm Eskimo Joe

Hope you have a great night!

Haha thanks, you too! :D

Wow this show is so late compared to the Sydney one.

The first act came on at around 7.20pm.

Then Bob Evans was about 8.30pm.

Eskimo Joe came on at around 9.15pm.

Hi Tauiwi, yes there were a lot of good looking girls. Not me, I'm one of the oldies. Luckily there was someone next to me even older than me. If you do spot me, don't be scared to say hi: will be wearing black rimmed glasses, am small, definitely not slim, black t-shirt with a (very bad) portrait of Elvis and Pricilla on it.

Hi Gracful, best place to stand depends on what you're there for. To see every drop of sweat and muscle go to the front, but the sound it muffled. For best sound and a good view on the small steps on the lower level (you can't miss them). For a good crowd view on the balconies.

Watsername: thanks for giving the new times. They have been brought 15 minutes forwards, thank god.

What will Bob wear today??????

yeah i think sydney and melbourne have different curfew rules.

Wow what an awesome night!

Managed to get right up the front, which was incredible!

Tauiwi and MimDownUnder, how'd you guys go for spots?

Are you actually asking me how good my spot was?

EDIT: Here's a clue.

I got loads of good ones, ill put them up later

It was an awesome night, much better than Thursday's show... the power of a sold out crowd. Was front of the crowd and loved it. My mate and I sung out every word, knowing the setlist was no problem. I thought Bob Evans (support) was much better on Fri, he sounded great from up the front. A very enjoyable night, at my favourite venue in Melb!

Oh and the line was crazy long this time, we waited in the dodgy alley around the back. I'm pretty sure they opened doors early at 8:15 rather than 8:30. And thank god for them pulling everything back by 15mins.

Mim, I think I did see you on Thursday night in the crowd, up the front.. your description was familiar. I had a good look from the balcony, but, seriously, nothing beats up the front. Kav's wife/partner was behind us, so he kept looking in our direction the entire night.

Are you actually asking me how good my spot was?

:laugh3: So it WAS you! I wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to look like a tool by thinking I was! Though now I look like a tool anyway :laugh3:

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I didn't realise I left this online.

... So how did you tell it was me? :D

I'll post my pics when I get them off my camera, I got a few good ones too. But that could take a while cos it's broken :(
