Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie (may contain spoilers)

Harry Potter fans have been left upset by news that the wizard sport Quidditch won't be in the next film.

There's just too much in the 800-page book of the Order of the Phoenix film to squeeze into the film, so bosses had to drop Quidditch.

Producers of the film say if they put everything from the book in the film it would be seven hours long.

The move means we won't see Ron Weasley in goal for Gryffindor, or hear the crowd chanting "Weasley is our king".

A spokesperson for Warner Brothers, who make the Potter films, said that there's no way to get eveything in the books into the film.

They added that the film has to take the story forward, and the films are Harry's story. As exciting and interesting as Ron's Quidditch success is, there just isn't room for that as well.

Filming is currently still taking place on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, with the film expected in cinemas in July 2007.

They should make the film a bit longer instead!;)

I'll have that rather than taking out some good parts. In the fourth one, they focused too much on the Tri-Wizard Tournament. There was more to the story than just that!

That's a pity. I wanted to see Ron saving Gryffindor's arse :P

Never mind, who cares about the harry potter movies.

The Books > The Movies

they are kids books, they are ridiculously long. and I wouldn't want them to film the entire book because it'd be way too long. LOTR was just about at the apex of comfort. you'd definitely have to have intervals in the HP film because I could see it being at least 6 hours long if they tried to include everything.

ok the book is long...a bit too long, but i cant believe they cut quidditch!!!

In that case it would have been better to make two films out of the one book!;)

the order of the phoenix was very boring

its the worst harry potter book of the bunch

it's basically 800 pages about nothing

so... how exactly is it turning out so long? nothing happens in the darn book!!!

and taking out quiditch is taking out the only "action" parts that just might make the movie intresting

anyway, who cares, i dont watch the movies anyway

but then it was on TV and i wacthed it, and it was the worst they could have done it!!! And i loved the 3rd book

i kinda agree with you about the movies...

1st one ok, 2nd and 3rd one i hated, but the 4th movie is by far my favorite one!! Maybe you should give it a try...

The first two movies sucked anyway. Starting from the third, they became films rather than just carbon copies of the books.

actually what bothered me so much in the 3rd is that they changed it too much. Like just the fact that they were wearing normal clothes and not robes. Whyd they do that?

and im too scared to watch the 4th, because i might not like it either.

I enjoyed it.;)

The 4th movie makes girls look like they can't do anything.
