this is a shame going from UK management to American...

hhmmm yah its weird. i would think maybe they would stay with uk management, since thats where they are from, more alliegence etc. but nope... hhm oh well.

I don't think it is a big deal - the management just paid to take care of the boys, their interests and what they want. The management don't dictate what the band are going to have to do - they get paid by the band so the band is essentially their boss. So I doubt it would be over anything like the DVD. Whatever the boys are planning they will still do it anyway.

 

I guess they just wanted one manager rather than two and they preferred dave. It makes sense that they do it now between albums so they can start fresh. Maybe it's a positive sign... a new start for a new album! :)

Holy SHit! They've only been off the road for 2 months and we're pushing for a new album already??? JEEZ!! THey have families now, and like I said in another thread, we don't own them!!

 

From all I've heard, Dave's a great guy who will work with the band's best interests in mind. You can't say that about alot of Artist Management out there. All's well!

Who cares who's their new management.. I want to know when the dvd is coming out!:(

Is New Coldplay Manager Dave Holmes(3-D Management) Courting Grand Ole Party?

you may have read that rather salacious tid bit in city beat a couple of weeks ago and thought... huh. really? yes, really. "the dude" = dave holmes, and we just... um... swiped? is that the term? Coldplay away from long time mangers Propaganda. Please see MTV article and l'il excerpt below.

 

so, i'm like utterly fascinated by this dave holmes cat and the kind of money he represents. i mean, he's not "long time manager" of Coldplay, he's who they hired AFTER they conquered the world. like, their management failed them somehow? They're COLDPLAY! COLDPLAY! They hired him of september of 2006.

 

Also, i can't find ANYTHING about Dave Holmes or 3-d Management in Los Angeles on the intertubes. To me, that speaks volumes. I would think, to the extent you, as an "unsigned" musician were thinking about "signing" with any sort of entity, this would be the guy to surrender to. exciting!

 

so... i'll let y'all here if anything happens, but i would say that if grand ole party signs with dave holmes, that makes them a major label band as of that date- the label deal will just be an afterthought if they're represented by this guy.

this isn't true, Dave has been with them the minute they started to tour USA, after Phil left. i rememeber Dave clearly from Live 2003 dvd.

any way i love their parting with the earlier propaganda management only...

So is Phil their manager again, or just a close friend, or is Dave their manager still? Do Coldplay employ Phil if Phil is their boss, or does Phil employ Coldplay? Who pays Phil? Does Phil have anything to do with Parlophone or 3-D Management? Sorry for stupid questions.
