We had internet connection already then, but only a few weeks,so i searched something about him that day more than two hours! next day i was watching 5 hours mtv for that song and they played it three times during 5 hours(:dizzy2:).It became my favourite song then,in next few days they told in mtv news his name, muhaha i was totally happy

i just find it interesting that my mom used to listen to AROBTTH all the time and they used to be all over the place, but never in my 12-year-old mind did i ever realize or think "these guys will become my lifeblood in a few years". i just find it strange, because if someone from the future told me that id be completely obsessed with coldplay, i would have been like "me? obsessed with MUSIC? pheh."

i also remember catching part of the "dont panic" video on MTV like 4 years ago and thinking it was a really weird song and a creepy video. i thought it was by one of those crunchy-type bands. but then years later i heard "donmt panic" on parachutes that one of my friends gave me and went "oh my god, that was COLDPLAY." :o :stunned: i still think its a strange video, but its now one of my favorite songs!

Actually the first song I heard of them was CLOCKS when the Peter Pan movie came out in 2002 or 2003,that was the song of the promo and it was I don't know how to say it in english (pegajosa) but I never knew who played the song and I didn't even like music in that time until I met green day and I started to listen music: I just liked like 5 songs, that was all I had in my computer and 1 video but in agaust or september of 2005 I saw some "coldplay" band in a list of music of a friend and I wondered who they were and then I saw a fabulous video which I loved inmediatly called SPEED OF SOUND, then on my birthday my grandma gave me X&Y and I kept going til now where I'm in my highest point of "fanness" haha

Then I saw Clocks...And I said : "Ou they will be famous, such a great song" and my sister said : "Nooo"

And Marek gave me a perfect Cd with Toronto concert and I was like : :shocked2:

It happened in 2001. The first music of coldplay i have heard is yellow, but when i was listening to this song, i didn't know who was singing. And then i remembered these words "look how they shine for you". I was singing these words day by day and at the end my friend said to me that it was coldplay, and after that has began my establishment in coldplay space

I was like 10 years old when I saw for the first time the yellow`s video, and due to my short age I found it a little bit rare. I used to see this tv program named Rosswell, so in one of the episodes, in a very tragic scene, they used the song Trouble, and i just love it instantly. So I tried to find some information about who sing that song, but it took me a long time because here in my country Coldplay wasn´t as popular as it is now. So finally I found out about Coldplay and Parachutes, but the problem was that the music stores didn´t sell the disc so I have to import it. So finally after so much troubles I had these awsome disc in my hands, so it was worth the wait. And of course when AROBTTH came out you saw them or heard them eveywhere...

that would be the Yellow video, either on MTV or VH1, right when it came out (2000 ~ 2001).

first time i actually payed attention to Coldplay was when they performed at the Grammys for the first time (which was, what, '02?)

I think my story is pretty unique, not saying it's good just unique. Well anyways, I was watching this movie called 'Confidence' starring Edward Burns (who did a sweet job on Entourage by the way) and "a song" played at the end during the rolling credits and I instantly really liked the song but I didn't know who sang it. Well lucky for me I was watching tv the next day and lo and behold this English rock band called Coldplay was playing an awards show (not sure if it was the Brits or MTV Europe awards) and there was that song again being played magnificently. The name of the song is 'Clocks' and that day began my love of Coldplay.

I was rolling along on my way to town, early summer 2001 or 2002, and there on the radio was a song I thought could not possibly be playing on the radio! (I had no idea they would take it anywhere, or that it would gain so much popularity!) Thanks to Coldplay for re-working it, and making Clocks a hit!!
