yay thanks for the links.

came back from the falls festival which was great!!! no awesome.

they had a lot of electronic based bands. i was really surprised because i thought electronic music could never work live. but wow was i wrong!!

basement jaxx, midnight juggernauts, and CSS were stand outs. One guitar players (the one with the curly hair) of CSS threw a drink bottle for me and my sis to catch, and the lead singer was just mental she was jumping around taking her shirt off wearing this wiered purple cat suite and crowd surfing lol.

The Presets!

now i'm not a techno girl, at all. but i cannot stop listening to Are You The One.

i'm uploading it now, i'll post a link soon.

Yes!!!

Excellent electro-pop type band.

Also check out Air and Royksopp. Sort of ambient, but not really.

Does anybody have a Massive Attack link?

I would love to have "teardrop" on my Computer...

we'll made a list to try and catch as much as possible so i'll tell you who i didn't see....this really hurt....Dan Kelly and the Alpha Males really wanted to see them but alas lost the list and missed them :(. Missed M. Ward darn again, Saul Williams, missed a bit of Matt Costa etc.

but really got to see most of the rest so i'm happy and i crowd surfed! (believe me i'm not one to do such things lol)

^ i have to disagree, of course

electronic music isnt only Kraftwerk and 80s were weak, in music generally

and then again, the best Kraftwerk albums come from 70s.

70s were an extremely great decade for electronic music (Can, Brian Eno, Neu!) + many artists experimented with electronica, although it wasn't their genre (Miles Davis, Beach Boys etc)

You know Nik, your right. I got my years mixed up and said the 1980s instead of the 1970s. :embarassed:

The 1980s weren't the best decade for music, but there was some notable names around then.

^he's awesome hey!! love him muchly. and being on the jjj hottest 100 pretty much guarantees that you're rad, coz triple j = the home of radness.
