I heard on the news that there will be a helpline set up for any upset fans because of it being the last book and also in case favourite characters are killed... I think it's only in the UK but they're thinking about it for other countries.

 

I really enjoy the books but I don't think I'd be upset enough to call a helpline.

I remember when book 6 came out, I didn't get it straight away (I got it about a week or so after release) and my friends and I were talking at lunch and one of them (the other HP fan in our group) was saying about how she cried when'A certain character' died and I'm like "'A certain character' died?" So the book was a little bit spoiled but it's not her fault, she didn't know I read the books... I think, but I can't remember for sure, that I ended up getting mega-curious and asker her who the killer was/how he was killed.

 

I don't know how to put those spoiler thingies in there so now I'm referring to it as A Certain Person, even though my friend said the name.

what a pile of pants! the hysterical over-reaction to take that splitting up was bad enough but that at least was a shock to fans. the fans of harry potter have alsways known there were only going to be 7 books. and there a plenty of things in the world to be getting upset about that have much more importance

i pre-order mine and like total loser go attend the 'midnight magic party' and stand in line for 6 hours at Barnes and Nobles... :) then don't fall asleep until i finish reading... which is usually 9-15 hours later...:rolleyes:

Aren't the book covers different for different parts of the world? So yeah, the US might get a different cover. I wonder what ours looks like. :stunned:

I LOVE this. The covers tell so much. The British (?) edition shows that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are going to find all this treasure, it looks like. That cover makes me laugh a little, am I the only one? It looks like they're be SOME humor in this one, it's not going to completely dark and depressing.

 

And the American one is nice too. It looks like Harry is going to be in some pit or coliseum- like area. But what is he doing?

I ain't, as I'm waiting to see what the supermarkets set their prices at. Although Waterstones £7.99 plus a free book looks decent (50% off). But I guess there will be a price war between Tesco, Asda & Sainsburys.
