January 31, 200422 yr yeah she played a good bit solo when I saw damo in december :) She is brilliant
February 3, 200422 yr plan didn't quite happen but ah well.....me and my friend ended up ringing the venue aswell to see what time Damo was on because we would have been late going anyway amd they said it wasn't listed  but that made no sense seeing as my brother and his mates had already gotten tickets but yeah...ah well
February 5, 200422 yr Just saw this had fallen on to page two of the music threads. This should never happen again people    ;)
February 5, 200422 yr I've realized that he is nominee for the NME awards, can't remember what category... :/ I voted for him :D
February 7, 200422 yr ok I'm sooooooo glad I didn't go to see him on tuesday night because this is the feedback from the damo board and don't worry it's not towards his performance but it's towards the crowd   : "Just wanted to add my disappointment wiht the audience on tuesday night at vicar street. for god sake wat was going on??? every 5 minutes some nobhead kept on shouting AMAZING, wat da story with dat every1 there knew that hes amazing but you dont have to keep on shouting it for the whole damn gig. It just seems to me that irish people in general seem to have no respect for other people at concerts,(not trying to sound like a grump old man), but every1 who went to that gig knew that the concert was going to be a quiet relaxing gig with a few upbeat numbers, yet some asshole kept on shouhting "1 for the lads damo!!!!!" What did you expect him to start singing GET yoour tits out r wat?????? Im really disapointed with the gig, dont get me wrong, i thought that damien and co were fantanstics, ( lisa hannigan is in a world of her own), but i dont think i could ever go to another damien rice gig again in ireland for fear of diappointment, from now on ill think ill have to head farther a field to appricate His music like the good old days. p.s. if i ever find out who broke into laughter at the end of the concert ill slap the head of them" and oh it gets better! :o "Can i just add that i think damien knows the words to his own songs. I can't remeber which song it was i think it might have been older chests but damien sang different lyrics at the begining and the genius besie me had to inform everyine, rather loudly, "OH MY GOD,THOSE ARE THE WRONG WORDS,WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM HE'S SINGING THW RONG WORDS,ITS SUPPOSED TO BE...", I dunno if it was just me but he didnt look too impressed when the crowd started singing along Either!I just wish people could keep their mouths shut and their opinions to themselves at gigs rather than stating the obvious,DAMO UR A LEGEND LISA UR GORGEOUS THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING....jesus give the rest of us a break would ya" Better still!! "I was shocked by the crowd on Tuesday night. This was the 14th time I've seen Damien Rice and by far the worst crowd. A girl next to me spent most of the gig flashing and a man to her right was masterbating at one point. Add to that all the comments being shouted and I couldn't stick around. So I left after an hour only to be met by scumbags outside who decided I looked too different and started punching me." ok that's just fucking disrespectful and overall just disgraceful!!! that was an over 18's gig and you'd think they'd have some fucking sense!!!
February 7, 200422 yr :( I heard similar reviews. As I've said here before I have yet to see Damo live, but I am seriously thinking I will need to travel futher than here to see him fully appreciated.
February 7, 200422 yr well the crowd were fine when I saw him in december :/ but now I don't know what type of people are getting into his music   j/k but yeah I don't know how anyone could behave like that at a 'mellow gig' it really annoys me! Acting like a bunch of 10 year olds!!
February 8, 200422 yr ok I'm sooooooo glad I didn't go to see him on tuesday night because this is the feedback from the damo board and don't worry it's not towards his performance but it's towards the crowd   : "..but every1 who went to that gig knew that the concert was going to be a quiet relaxing gig with a few upbeat numbers, yet some asshole kept on shouhting "1 for the lads damo!!!!!" What did you expect him to start singing GET yoour tits out r wat?????? I'm devastated that the gig didnt go well and i hope it's not a sign of things to come.... :( but that quote is hilarious!!
February 8, 200422 yr Ooooh, I'm sad reading this. It's so annoying when the crowd are so stupid and disrespectful!! You only wanna kick their asses!!  I hope you have good luck, Hayley!!
