Amazon always screws up release dates for everything. I'd doubt the reasonability of this Amazon release date but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. What I really want is a good Coldplay album, nothing that feels rushed, so if it takes longer to release a great album, then I'll be completely fine with that.

but if the tracks are done, and they could be since some dude listened to it (blanking on who it was), then that date could be true... We'll no for sure once the website announces it

This is the first word on a release date, and there hasn't been any word on the first single, or song title leakage, and Septs only 3 months away.

 

I dunno, sounds fishy to me.

Eno is starting work in July. I'm sure they have been working the new tracks for a while considering X & Y was released in early 2005.

 

But that's only 1 and bit months of producing and mixing and we all know X & Y took a lot longer after delays. This date will no doubt be pushed back and if the album is amazing as it has been made out to be and if Eno is to have a big role (it sounds as though the band don't need an amazing producer to pull of their vision as Chris seems to already have the sound sussed) then hopefully it doesn't come out this soon - that said I REALLY want it to!

i'm just going to think its coming out later, so if this is true, then i won't be dissapointed, and if it is, i will be happier

How'd you know it was fake? It could be true I guess. And of course I'm really hoping the 4th album will be release earlier than Sept 3rd.. Haha :lol:. Or its ok if after that...

Well, I haven't read all of the post in this thread, but I do know that the Coldplay website is undergoing a new look... and I know that usually bands that are releasing a new album, dress up there website with the upcoming content.

 

I don't know if anyone has seen the "Coldplay's site is under construction" but I tend to check back every once in a while.

 

So an album release is very probable. I heard rumors from other forums saying that they might not be using piano in this upcoming album... which I don't get at all... because the piano makes their songs. other people have said they're not using any instruments... and Brian Eno will be appearing on most of there tracks, followed by Kraftwerk and some of the same genre. Honestly I like anything Coldplay releases, but not using piano and such might upset a lot of folks... I mean if we look back at their EP's and first album, their sound is nothing like their third album, it's still coldplay content, but it's more electronica so to speak... I mean we've seen their growth.. starting out with a coffee shop style, and starting to make there way towards using more electronical sounds and such, so maybe thoughs rumors are true? I personally don't like to think in that direction, but who knows.

 

I have pre-ordered whatever album that's due to release on september, I hope it's a good one... and who else here thinks Coldplay should release another dvd? I mean, it's been what, 3 or 4 years since the last one... and I honestly love all the behind the scenes stuff, I like to see what they do, I have a band myself, and I like to pick up their notions and remedies and stuff.:D

Feels like you have summoned all the info we have gotten the last year about the new album.

Anyways, I doubt it's out in spetember, but it's still a sign that a new albu is spoken about, so I don't think its very far away anymore.

Maybe December, early January?

i dont understand why people preorder albums. what difference does it make? just get off your bum when it comes out and buy it on the day, youre more likely to get it on time that way then through the mail when it might not even come on time!

^^ with the 8.75% chicago tax, i generally find it cheaper to order on-line...s%h included.

I posted the reply in hopes I could maybe put more info out that people might not have known, that's why I prompted everyone before, I didn't read every post. I was hoping stuff people knew, they would bypass, and stuff people didn't know, they'd take in consideration, sorry about that.:\

 

For the preorder deal... I honestly like the re-assurance that I'm going to get the album no matter what, plus if the album doesn't come out in september, I won't have to go back and forth with where I need to go, when, why, how and all that crap... if the date ever changes, I know that I've pre-ordered it, and it will arrive whenever it releases, whether it be the 6th of september, or the 9th of december. and as 66 said, tax is dumb, and unless you wanna sit outside a rinky-dink k-mart for 2 days, I doubt you'll get the album on time anyway. I love Coldplay, but I don't feel like standing in line for a night or whatever to receive an album I can just as easily order from the world wide web. it's not lazy, if you live where I do, you wouldn't wanna stand in line either.:wink3:

Guess I need to start to save up a few thousand dollars so I can follow them around on their new tour....unless they are going to pull a Beatles/Sgt. Pepper thing and not tour with this one.

 

I still have yet to meet Guy face to face and get his autograph and my picture with him. That is my goal...well short of getting him to go nome with me or something. I understand like to cook, and I do, too. We could exchange some recipes...
