Albums of the year so far

Featured Replies

i dunno...many of this year's supposed exciting releases i found quite underwhelming, bar a couple of albums...

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire

Atlantis by K-Os

Fear Of A Blank Planet by Porcupine Tree (although i'm still kinda iffy on the subject matter, musically it's an absolute pure eargasm)

I thought K-os' album came out about a year ago...

it was released internationally in February 2007, it qualifies. :P

Travis or White Stripes for me, and the Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs. I was disappointed with Kaiser Chiefs one at first but it has grown on me over the last month or so!

"It was released in Canada on October 10, 2006,"

It's a 2006 album, even if it might have been released in some countries in 2007.

I can't think of a single album so far that I can say is my favourite of 2007. I'm still waiting :dozey:

dr. dog - we all belong

of montreal - hissing fauna, are you the destroyer?

arctic monkeys - favourite worst nightmare

the best. arctic monkeys didn't fully sink in for me until the just before i saw them last, but i lovvvvvvvve it now. i haven't had enough listens to the new interpol or new pornographers yet, but i love some of the stuff on those. i need more listens of the new art brut too. i can't wait until the new rilo kiley leaks, and actually comes out, it should be interesting.

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare

The White Stripes - Icky Thump

Wilco - Sky Blue Sky

Travis - The boy with no name
