I live at home too.... like 20 minutes from uni

You must lock everything!

A) You don't want food missing

B) You don't want people to play a prank on you specially on your food (which you will end up eating) and you find out when it's too late:laugh3:

C) It's fun to make bets.....over food.

The whales are hungry!!

i start on the 30th

some people are there already

while others go on saturday

so it does vary

this week was freshers week at my uni and classes start on monday

Freshers Week, where everybody gets drunk

Freshers Week, where everybody gets drunk

Cept those that don't drink :P

I've had a week of student food, its been a while since I had rockhard sprouts and roast potatoes that resemble charcoal brickettes. My innards need two weeks to recover

That isn't student food, modern student food is microwave dinners/takeaways

So will this will be your diet for the next 9 months?

  • 2 weeks later...

i'm finally in the students hall (there are 3 student halls building), i'm in the middle, girls one. i'm on the top floor, the third, last room.. there's are two stairs in the building.

we have a common "kitchen" in each floor of each stair although we can't cook, just use the microwave and a sink.... we have a tv, and a fridge, and some cupboard, each one buys her things and put them in their "area", each one have a shield on the fridge and 2 shields on each cupboard.. so we must do shopping once a week....

in 5 mins walking there's a café in the uni. and there are pubs near the students hall. and there's also a refeitorio in the uni (were food is served), but you need to ask for a ticket for the food, if not you got punished, the food cost more and you have only one meal. (meat), you can choose with the ticket (fish, meat or diet meal).

in the floor were i am, there are only eramus students, so they hardly ever are here, because they are all the time out, for instance the turkish girls go very often to mcdonalds.

so at least till now there's no problem with food, people respect other people property.

we have a key to lock the door. and each time we leave the students hall we must put the key on a "cage", that is looked after by the receptionist.... so is more or less like a hotel, in some way.

It's the only picture of a tinned pie I could find.

today i did my first shopping alone ...

long walking to the supermarket and back to students hall... as i really don't know the supermarket i ended up looking in almost all the corridors :uhoh:

i've prefered to buy canned fish....

really i think that the other people on my floor eats always outside, like in McD almost all days  i think that's not so healthy.

i'm thinking that buy food by myself for the week, (in the supermarket) is cheaper than the canteen... but canteen is more variated, as i'm not allowed to cook in the students hall... i will go one day to the canteen and other prepare food on the SH i think.

we dont get any proper food at uni. i could go to eat in town every day i'm at uni but i prefer to take something with me because its far cheaper.
