Dijeron que se tomaban un lustro de descanso, pero ni ellos se lo creyeron: a dos años de la salida del exitosísimo X&Y, Coldplay ya tiene terminado y listo para editar su cuarto álbum de estudio. El disco en cuestión llevará por nombre Prospekt y verá la luz el 19 de mayo.

 

Sabíamos desde hace varios meses que el grupo estaba trabajando en este álbum, junto al legendario productor Brian Eno. Ahora se sabe que el mismo contará con las siguientes once canciones: “Famous Old Painters”, “Glass Of Water”, “Lost!”, “Cemeteries of London”, “Violet Hill”, “Poppy Fields”, “42”, “Yes!”, “Leftrightleftright”, “Rainy Day” y “Prospeckt's March”. Poco más de 43 minutos de duración tendrá este nuevo trabajo de la banda británica.

 

Aunque la fecha de salida haya sido anunciada, no se puede dar por segura, dado el conflicto que Coldplay tiene con su sello EMI. Ante la noticia de que la discográfica planea despedir a 2 mil personas y rescindir el contrato de 14 mil músicos, Martin y los suyos, como así también Robbie Williams, no entregarían los álbumes a la empresa hasta que esta garantice que se invertirá en la promoción y distribución correspondiente.

the album isnt called prospekt so who ever wrote that article is lying hopefully LP4 comes out soon though

i think that's the old news because there were no new songs (strawberry swing and lovers in japan) inside the article

Unless I'm mistaken, that article was released in early January. The release date in the magazine could be an estimation, or maybe the band has caught up on their recording in a big way. But even if the album is done in a month, it will definitely take longer than that to get it in stores.

So you reckon that a May release is too soon?

From what I understood, Coldplay have only to finish mixing some tracks but they have already thought of all (tracklist, tour, artwork and 1st single ..)... or anyway they have been thinking of all that for months... I hope they had enough time to decide something.... so after they've finished mixing (early march), are 2 months enough to make us find the album in stores? I think it could be...

I need this album to be done so badly. I'm going to die if I have to wait any longer. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!11shift!!!111!!11!

^Urrr, I think their record deal dropped them so i dont think there will be a release.
