Concerts & crowdsurfing

I have done it before many times. But you have to do it at a show where the music fits. Now days, too many people doing it that are there to just to act like a dickhead and hurt people. I know what kind of show to expect it, so if I can't be bothered, I stay away from the area.

On a funny note, this is my pit bracelet from the Coldplay show in Indy on the X&Y tour. We all had a laugh when they made us put them on. Please don't let me get killed in the mega Coldplay mosh pit of death! :laugh3:

I've never seen those kind of bands before, maybe it's an American thing =) To prevent lawsuits n shit.

^ i have those bands but without that moshing area on it.

If it's an American thing it should say "enter venue at own risk, the management accept no liability for any personal injuries" :laugh3:

At some concert venues if you get caught moshing you get kicked out via the side door straight away.

That's pretty radical. Never seen that yet =)

Has anyone sustained serious injuries from crowdsurfing?

I fell, hit my head & got I light concussion at a Blood Red Shoes gig recently.

But that was involuntary crowdsurfing, someone just picked me up and threw me on! :P

I have thankfully not been anywhere near crowdsurfers when I've been to gigs, I tend to stand near the side to avoid them. I don't fancy a kick in the head thanks.

that will depends on the concert, i've never done that and i'm not curious about.

in fact i didn't knew anything about this stuff until this summer... when i got to know about moshing. pretty scary thing.

good to the ones that like it, but is not a thing of my interest.

lucky me i've never been hitted by a crowdsurfer or anything...

just once a girl got to the stage to ask a musician for an autograph and they make the concert stops.

that's not good. :dozey:

I always try to let them fall :nice: thats fun.

Mostly i jump around and get crazy. Ive been in moshpits too..it can be fun ..sometimes.

I stood in front at pinkpop last year when rage against the machine came. No fun!

I got traumatized for life when i went to a music festival last summer and we went to see the first band and a drunky guy, who weighted about 80kg, fell right on me shoes first during the first song..

never ever crowdsurfed. i'm too much of a chicken and i don't want people touching me all over.

plus, i don't go to that many like, punk rock concerts to do that. you can't crowdsurf at a jason mraz concert. :P

I punch/try to steal the shoes of Crowdsurfers, total dickheads

Me too :nice:

I really hate them. I got hit in the face by someone's foot when I went to see Bloc Party in September. I think it's really irresponsible. I really don't mind people moshing, jumping, going crazy and dancing but when some stupid heavy bloke is crawling over the top of people's heads and shoulders, it's plain stupid and dangerous.

I hate them. and because at a lot of gigs I go to, I go at the front, you get the big fat smelly security guards in your face trying to drag these idiots away. Ruins some of the best songs...like Helicopter by Bloc. They should be thrown out.

Crowdsurfers should be taken outside and shot.

It's one of the reasons why I try and get a seat, I don't want to be kicked in the head by some idiot trying to get near the front.

Agreed. A buddy I know got a boot in the face when he saw Bloc Party.

See I'm the type of person who lines up 45 minutes early at a club before going to the show just so I can get to the front.

Sometimes it sucks when you get really pushy people...especially intoxicated guys.
