help: universities in london!

Featured Replies

hello guys,

maybe i'm gonna start studying here in london in the next year but the only choice i have to start in february (and not to wait until september) is the london metropolitan.

if i could have the widest choice i would choose the lse or maybe the king's college to study law but i'd rather start as soon as possible!

what d'you know about london metropolitan? obviously i've been there, talked to a tutor, i've been searching on the web but i would like to know what's the reputation among the people

thanks a lot!

cheers

fil

I can't give you any information on your inqueries, but i have a question that could be asked in here, although i doubt anyone knows the answer.

do you people know on which university you can study slovene language (my mother tongue)? i'm interested because i wanna go study to UK with Erasmus but i've got no idea where could i go (and if that university has the agreement with ours) ...

nina, you'd better speak to one of your tutors about it but i doubt you'll be able to do it. i was thinking about doing a joint-degree [english and german] at the university of liverpool but they wouldnt let anyone on the course who has german as their first language.

yesh, it would be good if i went to the international office to ask that. because i really really want to go to UK, but i do not want to sacrifice one of my school year because of not doing some exams of slovene language because they're not taught there in UK.

But why didn't they let you attend their courses? what's wrong with having German as first language???

the course would have been too easy for me because they dont actually study german literature most of the time.

just keep in mind that english people dont learn slovene at school, so they will have to do this at uni. some do learn german but most students wouldnt be able to read german literature after their a levels.

You got to bare in mind, that the universities will charge you hard as an international student.

My friend went to London Metropolitan.......

.......and left it because it was not that great. so there you are! I think there are much better universities in London......

but I have another friend who does psychology there. and she hasnt left yet. I think that its reputation isnt that good to be honest, sorry. :\

Oxford and Cambridge are the most famous universities in London.

..........except that neither Oxford or Cambridge are in London.

:dozey:
