Good Charlotte song sounds like Clocks

Featured Replies

The chord progression isn't very close. They do use arpeggiated guitars, but if you do a basic chord arpeggio with 8th notes, you will use the same 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 pattern that Clocks does regardless. The whole mix together however, does seem to have been influenced by Clocks quite a bit. The drums, especially.

it's not the same exactly,

but the song is sooo lovely.

good charlotte makes me do bad things to myself and others.

^ i understand that...:P

i kind of hear it, but its not that close

I couldn't listen to it long enough, I had to turn it off.

 Word.

10% same. i think

only the chorus (at the 1 minute mark as you said), but it's clearly clocks inspired. I was going to object to the opening piano arpeggio rythm being very different from clocks, but at the chorus the drums, guitar, and piano, while being different chords are still a clear clocks imitation.

Its not as bad as the sum 41 scientist rip off, but what pop band doesnt try to sound like coldplay?

Well, everybody wants to be as awesome as Coldplay....
