runway fashion kind of pisses me off. who would you find wearing those outfits on the street or in real life? maybe the elements of the outfit, but almost never all together.

 

and i love how the clean-cut look is in style AFTER i graduate from my school with a strict dresscode and AFTER i quit my office job :mean:

i suppose it is just for inspiration. i think i just have too many friends who follow this stuff compulsively and rush out to get the outfits and then look ridiculous.

I agree, although we mightn't wear what they put on the catwalk, the clothes that we buy from regular shops are definitely influenced by it. I don't mind a lot of it to be honest.

I like it actually, hehe.

 

But I wouldn't spend money on it.

i dont think i'd dress any differently if i was rich and famous, besides for big parties and stuff. i'd still go to gap and j crew because i like that style. though i wouldnt feel so bad blowing money there.

I just LOVE looking at gowns! Some of them are real works of art.

 

 

Over the top? Absolutely. But they are still amazing.

i'm a tomboy, but i took secret pleasure in prom-dress shopping. and i got to do it four times! i got two typical prom dresses, one white linen dress from anthropolgie, and then an indian dress that i got at the philadelphia museum of art gift shop!

 

i think i'm really going to like wedding dress shopping...

Haha dress shopping is the greatest! My aunt's wedding is this summer, and I'm pumped to pick out a dress!

there's something about dress-shopping that must release endorphins. it makes me go all girly! there must be something in our genetic make-up.

 

when i bought my dress in the philly art museum gift shop, i was acting all girly and bouncy which is pretty out of character for me. my best friend was totally weirded out and said he wouldnt talk to me until i returned to normal!!
