A question about fashion/General fashion stuff

Featured Replies

wait, anna, where do you live? (or did you just mean america, where we live?)

but even though its an american term, the whole new england prep school culture is an attempt at copying british public schools, or at least how they used to be, which i find pretty funny.

i was kind of kidding about the long shirt/tights thing because that was the fashion question that this thread was started on. personally i think that particular trend is ridiculous, but some people can pull it off and not look like they simply forgot to put on trousers that day. whatever floats your boat, really :)

but you can do anything with a closet full of basics, like t-shirts and sweaters and jeans. accessories make the outfit, i've always thought.

haha :D ok

but in fact i quite like it - tights of knee-length and a bit shorter dress... taht could work for summer. or spring. :)

You can buy simple tanks and shirts in whatever color you wish. And also you can accessorise with jewelry and such...:D
yup yup. i'm working on it since summer when i lost majority of my precious earrings (they werent expensive, but i had a pair from almost each place ive ever been to, so... :()

i don't like the jeans which are fashion at the moment. skinny jeans just aren't comfortable. i also think guys in skinny jeans is just wrong.

me neither. i cant imagine wearing uncomfortable jeans. and those guys ... skinny guys. uhhhhhh.

but o h well each to his own.

i laughed so hard reading this!! but it also embarrasses the crap out of me, because i don't consider myself preppy at ALL, but i do a lot of those things...:embarassed:. my llbean tote bag is my life!

and that video was like THE cool thing at my school like a year ago!!

LOL that video is hilarious!! I don't think I have to worry about "preps" taking over here, nobody would be caught dead looking/acting like those people! LOL! To be honest, I think I'm the closest thing to prep where I live, just in terms of behavior etc :)

I live in Westchester county...superclose to you.

well anyway ... i have to go...goodnight everyone!!

YOU LIVE IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY?! i live LITERALLY 5 mins from there. i practically live in NY as well. my school was right on the border.

how come i didnt realize we were so close before?! :laugh1:

anyway, goodnight!

oooo preppy, i think in OZ its more of the tanned surfer look, brands like roxy, billabong, volcom etc, but i think the most preppy store round here is Supre, with an accent on the E

pffffffffffffffffffffffftttttttt

id rather steal clothes off hobos then wear clothing from that store

Ahh Cavenow, I didn't realise you were Australian! :D I'd have to agree with you, I HATE Supre with a passion. What were they thinking when they decided to make a clothes shop like a dance club!?!

hahaha idk but everytime I walk past one, its like no room, full of facking new rave crap, oh god, makes me want to poke my eyes out

and where did you think i was from?

Hmmm Antarctica?! Nah, I had no idea really. Whereabouts in Oz are you from?

SYDNEHHHHHHHHH

aye

you?

Sydney, cool! I live in a little country town called Horsham in Victoria that you most likely wouldn't have heard of, am I right? :D

SI SI

I am not too educated in the area of Victoria =/

It's been a nice couple days in good old England, with the temperatures hitting the mid 20s.

So cue the ladies coming out wearing very short skirts & very low-cut tops :)

best time of the year

i was still wearing a coat and a scarf. i didn't find it very warm. you can tell i'm foreign.

Horsham? I've been there!

I live in Keilor :laugh3: not that far from Melbourne |D

Ugh, I HATE Supré. It's French for slut, big suprISE. Of course apparently the new trend is "punk" which I have pretty much been doing for ages, but they're murdering it. PINK AND ALL THESE BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACK DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU PUNK. Bllllleeegh.

LOL!

I WENT IN THERE TO BUY A SINGLET

BECAUSE THEY HAVE CHEAP ONES SO I THOUGHT ID JUST GET IN AND OUT

AND

i saw through all this colour

grey

and it was a bunny hug (hoodie jumper)

so i bought it

and it

is

the

most

comfertable

thing

ever

i love it

...even though its from Supre :S
