Aww Nina.... it's okay' date=' just wear what you like, it's better than wearing the clothes that don't fit you because that's exactly what everyone else wears anyway!![/quote'] thank you, Anna... i wear only what i like already, but the problem is that every shop's the same and therefore clothes as well. no more normal pants, etc. etc. ... *sigh* :\

We got another Geordie here! :D :P

Well I used to go to school with his granddaughter and once i came into our local pizza place and she was sitting there eating with him and she called me over and said "Hi Anna! this is my grandpa" and I shook his hand and said "nice to meet you!" but then i ran away cause i was kind of embarrassed :P

wow, you had a great schoolmate! :D nice .... you dont have opportunities like this every day :( :nice:

I didn't know he had family in the United States...isn't he Scottish?

yep ... wiki says he is.

and that he lives on Bahamas :bigcry:

that's not what I said at all

I said the 'designer' clothes are generally nicer, because they have a good designer designing them

I'm not about logos at all

in fact all of the 'designer' clothes I buy don't really show the brand

they make those items for people who like to show off

YAAA I AGREE

well i follow fashion weeks, brands etc

what they have instore for us is amazing sometimes

but i dont keep up to date to just run out and buy it because its brand

i use it as a suggestion to my own style

doesnt really matter where the clothes come from

though, its always nice to save up for that one winter coat that will keep you warm for the many winters to come and never die out of fashion

but as they say in the industry

fashion comes and goes

style lasts forever

I totally agree with you. You don't need a bunch of money to have style. I find that people who don't spend so much money turn out to have better style than people who spend their money on designer things.

I agree. Damn. We think alike.

Wasn't that a quote from Coco Chanel? I'm not sure but I think so....

but anyways, I think most of us have the same philosophy. :) Money can't buy style.

Chanel indeed!

peeps. I need some new clothes while everything's on sale.

I'll be searching in H&M. Any suggestions abouit what to look for? Because everytime i go there i see just ugly things.

Hehe when I went yesterday there was a sale...I got a blouse for only $10!

When you shopping, it can be a hit or miss, so you gotta go out there with a good eye. You can find anything and have no expectations.

that's true....

any suggestions? :)

[i expect this thread to be full of nice pics with nice shirts, trousers etc etc since now i'm off to study. g'night! :D]

Umm well it depends on what you like. What kind of clothes do you usually wear? What kinds of sweaters, or jeans?

i'm generally a tshirt, jeans, hoodie, and sneakers person, so i dont think i can help much on the suggestion front. but apparently really bright colors are in for spring, so there's that.

of course, you can always go with a long shirt and tights...:sneaky: :laugh1:

Or you can go for a lovely full-length dress

Or a cardigan! Always nice to have one... :wacky:

^Yeah like my mom just got a floor-length, really flowy and floral/cheetah print...it actually looks amazing on her though it sounds kind of tacky, she looks like a model right from a fashion magazine. my mom's so pretty....she's tall, blonde with straight bangs, amazing style (though she's a bit too skinny but she doesn't purposely lose weight).

But anyway minimalt dresses in bold colors and also floral bohemian prints are in for spring. And bold geometrical patterns too.

^i'm all for full-length. i still think that people wearing long shirts and tights are going around without pants on. every time i see one friend of mine now she's NEVER wearing pants, just tights, boots, and a shirt. i dont know how people dont stare, like, all the time.

can't you see their underwear? or is it like leggings?

Or you can go for a lovely full-length dress

The thing is that a dress is not really practical at all..

Well maybe that's just me.. I always want to be sure that i can wear the thing in 20 different places. That's why i rarely buy anything. But now that all my old clothes are getting full of holes and starting to look really bad i really should go get some clothes..but they're so expensive!!

Nope. Just leggings. It's pretty gross, in opinion.

Oxford shirts and vests, and masculine-style is for spring too. A-line flowy skirts...Exotic prints..

can't you see their underwear? or is it like leggings?

it's like leggings, but STILL. skin-tight clothing around the ass-region (that's not made of like, thick cotton pants or denim) is just a no-no in my book. i can hardly even wear leggings to BED, let alone out.
