So sally you came to uni in Liverpool from Gemany? Cool!

A lot of schools in this area do teach German though :) I went to a girls school, but the boys school next door did either Spanish or German so I think you could get a job teaching that

not germany, switzerland.

a german friend of mine is did her teacher training here. she was an assistant teacher in wavertree and she sometimes ended up with just two pupils. there were five girls doing german but they were absent quite a lot. i guess it depends on the area. many kids around here seem to be doing spanish because they think german is harder.

I'm in school

*frustrated*

But when I finish, I want to go to college somewhere in Europe and also settle down somewhere over there as well. My parents are planning to retire and move to Italy and the rest of my family is over in Russia anyway .. so it would be better for me.

But you live in New York! :stunned: You can have my house, I'll have yours :P

^Done!!! ahaha.

It's just... the US has one great city, New York. And I've had my fair share of going there and all ... but Europe just has amazing city after amazing city. I don't want to sound mean but the rest of the US is kinda boring..

I be an Accountant.

Plus a part-time bar person in the local public house some evenings

I'm just a student :bigcry:

I want to help disadvantaged young people one day

As of now, I'm just a high school student.

I used to want to be a psychologist.

I still want to study it, but I'd rather be a musician. Or just do something where I can travel around, meet new people, hear stories, see different places, tell stories, those sorts of things....

I absolutely can't stand the thought of staying in one place.

I study chemistry... :) I think the best you could do is study... not necessary a career, maybe doing courses of something you really like... then you would try to find what to work in. The first step is to investigate the possibilities! I bet there's many things you could do!

*edit* but guess you already came to that conclusion :P

Was a carpenter got fed up with that. Was in the TA, Afghanistan came along Enough was enough. Left both and now just started as a air conditioning engineer.

I study mathematics, physics and programming at uni. Pretty much to do.

What's your job Daryl?

Help desk operator... I get calls from all over the world... and make call all over the world...

I do enjoy my job

YOu must get some right wankers ringing up!!

Most of them are OK, as they are in the same Job...

We call it "the club"

There is the odd ocasion we do get idoits ringing us up, but we never get abuse.

However in my last job, I dealth with the general public and they were so thick at times, once I nearly went around a customers house to help configure there mail box as after 1 hour and 15 minutes on the phone of which normally had have taken someone 5-6 minutes to go though.

I never went in the end, as the company would not be liable if anything happend to me, however if something happend to the customer they would be liable for any damage I may have caused or if the customer had been evil and said I did something.

Oh well that's good that you don't get abuse!!

I remember those days... :veryangry::laugh3: I didn't last long either.

If your 90-year-old grandfather doesn't know what a cellphone is, you don't know how to teach him how to use it, and he's too deaf to understand anything when he calls customer service, maybe just maybe, you shouldn't buy him one for his birthday.

You hold a huuuuuge piece of netting under scaffolding? :stunned:

Pfft that's not funny :disappointed: it's Sunday forgive me

I stop people killing themselves on construction sites

I thought it was the other way round..

Any of you ever work construction? You should realize how dangerous it can be, and the need for life and limb injury prevention is certain great! Keep up the good work, Ian!

What is Ian's job title 'Death Preventer', 'Anti-injury man'?

:P

So what's your actual Job title then?

Health and Safety Officer??
