I hope the band noticed, though. I've just refreshed the site and all the images are up there, so yeah. God just looking at them now is making me excited again, I still kinda can't believe it.

i deffi think the band noticed. whether they're happy or sad about that, i'd like to know, but i bet they have people that check in here periodically to make sure that there aren't any music leaks circulating (because they'd OBVIOUSLY show up here!), and perhaps someone noticed and sounded the alarm.

but my friend just reminded me that five years ago today, we returned home from our wiiiild england adventure. that's a long story in itself, but i think because i was returning home and didnt really want to on that day, this day is definitely more exciting!!!

I could definitely see them putting the title as "Famous New Painters" while the title of the song is "Famous Old Painters". Just look at Snow Patrol's last album, "Eyes Open", but the name of the song was "Hands Open". They did say "eyes open" in the song though, so I'll bet we can expect something like that.

I dont know whether or not to believe this, but I hope its real. Famous Old Painters was my favorite new track with its "big band" being used and "Spanish theme". I was really worried when it wasn't mentioned in the song synopsis. But if the album is called "Famous Old/New Painters", it kind of guarantees its still in there right? Plus I think this is real because I dont think they would put something fake on their official site. The boys wouldn't do that to us.

hmm I wonder why they keep changing the tracklisting of the album.. The rolling stones didn't mention anything about the track "famous old painters"... I'd say it has a strong chance of being the album title.. but they also seem to have given "viva la vida" a lot of emphasis... i wonder.. and most of the songs are about death? which feels completely opposite to all these lively colors... they deff got something very interesting cooking in the oven.

Its looks like to much work to be a hoax.....if it is one....I'm gettin that guy to do my bands site....lol. but it did say in one of the journals that they had a meeting about making the site better. so I am looking at the photos here and I'm gettin goosebumps.....so thas a good sign that the site is legite....lol(joking)

I think i was like the second or third person to read the beginning of this thread when there was only half a page! in just a couple of hours, there's 20 pages!! I think that's the quickest a thread has EVER grown!

Well.... as an amateur web designer and such, I've gotta say, this honestly looks pretty damn legit to me.

 

I'm not liking all the colors (bad design IMO) and it looks a bit cluttered, but Chris's handwriting everywhere (in larger font than the current site which would be hard to fake), the use of filler text (Lorem ipsum...), and several other things convince me that this indeed is legit. Maybe not exactly what we're gonna see as the new site in a few months, but a legit rough draft of a new site...

 

And I'm curious about the tour dates at the top--Wembley Arena?

 

Surely they could sell out Wembley Stadium instead!

This looks very promising. I wish the actual dates on those screenshots were real, lol. We would have known the album title days ago! Probably just a screenshot of what was supposed to happen, but something must have delayed it. Maybe they are going to reveal the site, the release date, tracklist all at the same time.

I highly doubt this is a hoax... I remember actually seeing that "Slender Fungus" link at the bottom of the page a long time ago ... Never got around to clicking on it though...doh!!

 

But I did know for a while that this company "Slender Fungus" designed their current site... so I highly doubt that those pictures on their site would be fake... like others have said, they put too much work into the design for it to be fake.

 

Also, if I remember correctly... I could have sworn that link was visible before. They probably made it white after they posted the pictures of the new site, so that they could show the design to maybe close friends/associates?

 

Anyway, I am soooo stoked! Man I can't wait to see Coldplay again. I'm going to Bonnaroo again this year too...how sweet would it be if they played there too?! (Doubt it but you never know :) )

 

P.S. I really like the new site design... I love the famous artwork references and the vivid colors.
