ok, new thought:

if you look at the text of the news posts on the sample screenshot things, most of the text reads "lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..." this is very common filler-text for things all over the world, and you'll find it in lots of places. it...ah, well, read about it here; i once had to learn about it for middle school.

ANYWAY, because a lot of the text is filler, i think the dates must be as well. obviously the dates that have already past are filler, but i think the tour dates at the top are filler as well.

i know that's not some huge awesome revelation, but i don't really think we should be taking the literal content of these pages seriously until its live--i'm more excited about progress and art and a potential album title!

BTW in the UK it is almost 10 o clock, I can't see there being any new news today.

 

Seconds I dont think anyone from CP reads this they'd find all the girls declaring love for them disturbing. A PR man however almost certainly reads this forum, its the biggest CP forum.

What if they post the news or whatnot at midnight?? Could that be possible as well?

Yep. The only way the band could attempt to make a public announcement on this forum is through Debs. Either that or Debs would have to officially confirm that the band posted here.

Still can't see it happening though.

In theory they could "post" news at any time they like, they can do all the work and set the site onto an automatic update at a sudden time uploading the new news

i REALLY don't think we're getting news today, or soon, actually. i think now that they know we know, they'll be working harder on making the site functional. unless they actually decide to throw that whole plan out the window and just tell us in a new star post on the "old" website. it would be brillo to get a note from them acknowledging the whole deal, but i think the site will be launched around april 1 or so. i dont know WHERE the hell all this clear-headed patience and rationality is coming from, though!

Thats a very good point about the text filler Chelsea, I didn't even think about it! And yes the dates may not be true (well its a self evident truth really cos the dates have already passed), but at least we're getting a sign that things are moving forward!

I know the reason why Chris would tell that "People are going to listen it in their cars". It's evident he has seen the film "Once" by John Carney.

 

Anybody that had watched it would know.

i love it too! somehow, TODAY i have a bit of patience now that i have proof of real progress! even without a release date, this has made my DAY.

In John Carney's film there's a duo and they record an album (well just a demo) for a few days, and when they finish and mix it, the producer tells them to make a final test: to listen the mix in the speakers of a car to see if it's a good as they listened in the studio.

 

So this means Coldplay have confidence on how the new the record sounds!!!
