yeah, i don't fully believe it. lots of sites have the "tracklisting" up, and they're all different. even though it sounds vaguely plausible (though i would think there would be "famous old painters" and no "violet hill," but that's just me), i'm not believing it until we read it from prospekt. or i guess worst-case-scenario, if RS says it again. i believe people like them because they're in direct contact with the artist, and they're not music retailers.

Those songs were in exactly that order in the Rolling Stone article, so I guess they got it from there.

Because from that interview from the studio, they said the band was going to give away Violet Hill as a promotion, and then leave it off the album.

And yes, this tracklisting is completely fake. As someone pointed out, it's in exactly the same order as in the RS article where they analysed the songs in that order. And they can't have known about the order back then, because the guys were still hammering out the tracklisting.

 

Conclusion: FAKE.

this is just more proof that prospekt needs to get on his game before the world explodes.

 

but like i promised months ago, you're not going to hear any more (really serious) complaining from me now that we have the defined release date. as long as they stick to that, i don't really care what else they do in the meantime. of course, i still want to know like hell....

I sort of just want the tracklisting so that I know theyre making progress and so theyre not tempted to push back the release date. That and the sooner we get it the sooner we might be hearing Violet Hill.

I really never have believed the album title is the whole thing. but instead one or the other! "Viva..." sounds more interesting than "death..." to me just because of the high contrast with song names and themes.

Of Course this is not real. Until you hear it from Coldplay or Prospekt then it will be official. Hopefully that will be very soon.

^Maybe, but maybe the Observer article was false when it said Coldplay have to rredisign the album cover to include the track, we cant really believe anything unless it is Official.

It's a subtitle. As in an official part of the full title that doesn't have to be used. Sort of like calling "John Smith" just "John".
