I think the subtitle would be there though, if it was something official.

I think it's still just speculation

They could put all of this speculation to rest by just ANNOUNCING THE TRACKLIST AND ALL THE DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wait wait wait..

only 9 tracks..?

are you sure..?

I know I've said that if the tracks are good it doesn't matter the lenght of the cd, but common Coldplay..

we've been waiting too long!

give us a little more!!!

well they've told us only 9 tracks, right?

Yeah, like the second or third Prospekt blog entry said it was gonna be a very sparse album running at about 42 minutes with 9 songs. That means very very good songs at about 5 minutes a piece. I love it!!!!!!!!! I'd rather have 9 well-honed songs than 15 alright songs

Exactly. Which is why I'm sort of hoping that this one might be a masterpiece, because to have 9 songs on a record, each song has to be top quality. They can't afford to have average tracks on something that short.

That the album would consist out of 9 tracks was already known for half a year or so:rolleyes:

i'm just excited for new music. as long as it's more than 3 songs, i don't care about the number of tracks. i just hope it's mind-blowingly awesome.

and that there are a decent number of b-sides...

I can't wait for the B-sides. I used to love that feeling of downloading coldplay songs I'd never heard before, and then taking them home to play them... like the first time I heard Crest Of Waves... ah... *lost in memories*

9 songs isn't long, but it isn't too short either. Sounds just right, imo.

Also, wasn't "Dark Side of the Moon" 9 songs and 45 minutes long? People sure don't complain about that album being bad. Why? Well, all of the songs are near perfect and fit together wonderfully. Maybe this will be Coldplay's "Dark Side"...

i live for b-sides...for me my coldplay love happened with X&Y, so my big ones were the world turned upside down and sleeping sun. ahh, i looove those songs.

but i ran away and crests of waves are the best out of all of them, in my opinion.

b-siiiiiides....

I love I ran away as well. I think Things I Don't Understand was my favourite X&Y B-side. Sleeping Sun comes a close second.

These VLVOD b-sides are going to be fun to hunt down.

i really hope we get every song they've mentioned in some form someday, namely in b-sides.

i really love things i don't understand as well! i like proof a lot too, minus all the falsetto. i like it musically.

I agree.

And Proof would have been better if it was sung an octave lower, but I know what you mean about liking it musically. It has potential.

^I dont know im really picky with b-sides, didnt really like the XY ones but one i really like which i think is the best is Only Superstition, I absolutely love it.

Wasn't that the same order as when rolling stone gave descriptions of the songs? I'm wondering if this retailer is just copying off that. Just a theory, I'm not believing anything until coldplay/prospekt say it themselves, but if that is the tracklist than seems decent enough I'm almost positive there'll be a hidden track like song for the escapist.

I, for one, don't like ALOT of bsides. If you have a perfect album, and then you have like 5 bside songs and they're ok, that kind of ruins the integrity of the album. For me, the best b-sides are DEFINETLY I Ran Away (LOVE the "1,2,3 Will" at the very very beginning) and the b-sides on the Yellow EP. No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground and Help is Round the Corner are near perfection.

this is fake

but GLASS OF WATER & FAMOUS OLD PAINTERS have to be on the album or ill be mad if you read the 08 magizine forgot the NAME coldplay SAiD THE FIRST 3 SINGLES ARE THOSE TwO SONGS AND CEMENTARIES OF LONDON so i hope they leave it in!!!!!!!!!!!:(

There are plenty of sites that have posted “tracklistings”, mostly just copied and pasted from the list of songs we’ve heard about so far.

I don’t believe this for a second. Mainly because there is no Famous Old Painters, a track which appears to be crucial. Secondly, Violet Hill is on the list, and RS said they were giving it away instead.

I've noticed a lot of music-selling websites post random tracklists before an album is released, and a lot of the times they are wrong. So I'd rather wait to hear something official.

by the way does anyone have that rolling stone article picture... the complete picture, where you can also see guy on it?

Completely and utterly agree! Coldplay have had some ace b-side, my particular favourite song not to be on x&y was Gravity!

Come on Prospekt, well overdue a response now!!

i have it, but i don't really have access to a scanner :\

i can try this week, though. i've been meaning to do it. i just need permission to borrow my roommate's scanner, and she's always out, sleeping, or using it.

Maybe you could leave her an awesome handwritten note? It only takes like a week to make one of those
